tracy morgan fucking up

I'm not mad at him, I don't know the other stuff he said cause they didn't post that, but if he's mad at HIS son, that's hs problem. Moreover, it's his view(s) & his routine...Everybody is not always going to agree, especially about comedy.
 
The man is a comedian, he tells jokes. Sure it's a bit crass, but it is just a joke.
I mean honestly, does anyone really believes he is serious?

But it all has to come from somewhere. You don't spew hatred unless you believe it, IMO.
 
I did not hear the whole thing but what I heard was Tracy Morgan saying at stand-up show in Nashville that he'd "pull out a knife and stab" his son if he were gay.

1. He is a comedian
2. He said if his son was gay, he did not say he hates gay ppl.

Personally, I have no beef with homosexual community. In fact, I had class mates & past co-workers who are gay & I am still friends with and keep in touch with. I have no problem with gays legally getting married, adopting kids, getting couple benefits etc…. but I would not want my son or daughter to lead that life style, call me all the dirt name in the books but I would not want that for my kids, sorry.

it's not that he isn't serious...he never said he didn't like gay people, he just doesn't want his son to be gay. People auto magically assume the worse when a celebrity says something like this. He may want to stab his son because he doesn't agree with it (which doesn't mean hatred again), he may feel that his son would have a tougher road in life because of being gay (we all know the social stigma)....moreover, it's comedy, when Thump said he wasn't serious, I think he was on to the right thing but not exactly there. Comedy is about real life, real things, we joke about real stuff to help us get through that tough stuff (we laugh sometimes to shed through the tears).
 
the sad thing here is that many times teenagers that are gay start to think...my parents will hate me...i'm not good enough...this life is going to be full of harassment....i'll never be accepted...


then they commit suicide...


at that point what one parent says...transfers to another parent and then it's not so funny...

i worry as a parent...because you never know what is going on in their head...communication is key

There is time for jokes and a time for serious communication.

I don't call it a lifestyle nor is it a choice. And technically you have NO control over that. IF your kids do come out as gay, you either accept and/or tolerate them or you don't.
 
Love is love, DOA, regardless of your attraction. Sandra Valls, a lesbian comedian actually put it best when her dad confronted her about her sexual orientation.

DAD: "Why do you like girls?"
SANDRA: "Why do YOU like girls?"

Call me a bigot, but love is not love. If my kid turns out that way I will make sure to strangle his/her neck using my big baboon hands.
Like Cosby said "I brought you to this world I will be glad to take you out", lol.
