Trayvon’s parents reject Zimmerman’s apology

The parents of Trayvon Martin say they have a hard time accepting George Zimmerman's nationally televised apology.

Last night, in his first interview since killing the unarmed 17-year-old, the former neighborhood watch volunteer said the shooting death must have been part of "God's plan" and that he prays for the Martin family daily.

"I simply really don't know what God George Zimmerman is worshipping because there's no way that the God that I serve had in his plans for George Zimmerman to murder my son," Tracy Martin, the teen's dad told CBS News.

"I'm not a racist and I'm not a murderer," said Zimmerman, who is white and Hispanic.

Zimmerman maintained his innocence during the Fox News interview, but did ask for forgiveness for any pain he's caused.

"I want to tell everyone, my wife, my family, my parents, my grandmother, the Martins, the city of Sanford and America, that I'm sorry that this happened," he said, staring into the camera lens.

"I hate to think that because of this incident, because of my actions, it's polarized and divided America. And I'm truly sorry."

Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon's mother, told CBS News she doesn't believe what he says.

"He also said that he doesn't regret anything that he did that night," Fulton said. "I don't think God would have him, in his plan, to murder an innocent child."

Kid,he is doing this shyt for fundraisinga and never gave a rat's butt for Mr.Martin and his family who saw through that nonsense. Since Sean Hannity is giving this "exclusive" it takes a racist to know one.
 
And two billion people are just grown kids with imaginary friends. No different than those you laugh at if they hold up a piece of poo and call it a "god". It's anything you want it to be. So of course, when you call others insane, remember that you believe in imaginary friends too. Which in turn, makes you batshit insane.

Just the concept survives on fear and false sense of hope. The Prince is right.

This case is coming up in a couple of months. And I knew the biggest mistake at the start was charging this as a 2nd degree murder. Zimmerman is going to walk because of the negligence of the State Prosecutor. Unreal.

Same ish that got OJ off, smh. They proved that Mark Furman lied under oath and and used the word nigger before, so they had to suppress any evidence that he recovered...blood, prints, dna evidence...so OJ walked. Such an injustice then, and will be an injustice now. Technicalities are a muh-fucka...smh.

She lied about some shit about going to the hospital to visit someone. But it's documented she was indeed on the phone with Trayvon before the attack and when he was shot.

She wasn't the entire case anyway. The prosecution really didn't need her to convict Zimmerman.

The fact remains you can't follow someone knowing you're carrying a loaded firearm, get into an altercation and shoot them dead, them claim self-defense.

I feel you Dre, but this is still a victory for his defense team. This was the prosecutions strongest witness. Proving she lied could prove to be the death knell for this case. My guess would be he walks away with manslaughter of some sort and time served/some probation.
