Confidence is a good thing. It usually implies a good, healthy level of self-esteem and worth. Not to be confused with 'cocky.'

Fixed. I think manly means different things to different people, but typically manly would be associated with things such as masculine features, tall or stocky build, handy with tools, mechanically inclined, that sort of things. Basically anything that is generally associated with a man as opposed to a woman. The traits you described, egotistical, uncaring, and obnoxious, occur in both genders, probably in equal numbers... as do the traits, warm, empathic, and friendly.
