Oh boy. I think that what women want is some one who loves them and who makes them a priority in their lives. I also thing that most women do want a committed relatiosnship, be it marriage or some kind of other exclusive relationship. Women in their late 30s and 40s also want a man who will allow them to be themselves and pursue their dreams.

Very complicated question you have asked and so you will get a range of answers. I will only answer question #1. The last US census showed that interracial marriages have increased since the previous census. It also gave a breakdown of these marriages. I think it showed that AF are more likely to marry outside their race and usually to WM. Possible factors for the increase in interracial relationships are: more females than males; larger number of educated females as compared to educated males. Therefore, if a woman wants a man on her level ( I think most do) she cannot confine herself just to one race.

BTW, a recent study in either Black Enterprise magazine or Ebony showed that BM are more likely than BW to marry outside their race and usually to WW. WW are more likely than WM to marry outside their race and to a BM.

Conclusion. Don`t give up on getting into an IR

I can't agree with you on that a lot of older women date interracial more than a lot of young ones, Most interracial marriages work. Hell people of the same race break up also. I think that outside of your husband or wife cheating on you and fooling around or kicking your ass I don't see the reason to break up. Thats just my two cents. Your case might be different from another person who was dating interracail and went back to dating their own race which might have been your case.
