Like other people have said before, things that interest you usually bring about people that you have something in common with to start. I volunteer with a lot of inner-city school kid's groups, I watch football games in sports bars every weekend, going to the gym.....I've met a lot of great guys doing all of these.
You also really do have to evaluate what kind of bars you're going to.....crowds of like-minded women usually enjoy hanging out in places together. I know there are definitely bar scenes in Kansas City that I neeeeever go to simply because there's no way I'm going to 1. Expect to have some guy buy all my drinks simply because I have a skirt riding up my ass and 2. I'm not the kind of girl to go to a bar where the dress code requires a skirt riding up my ass.
You said you like dancing...have you ever thought of taking a dance class or going to more of a social group to dance instead of just the clubs?
again....no idea what your area/interests are...just a thought
Side note: Can someone please explain to me why meeting someone at CHURCH is acceptable??? Since when is going to a service to reflect on your personal beliefs suddenly now an open forum for trying to find a mate??
Maybe it's because I was raised Catholic....but it just seems very strange to me.
