    ItalianLady: you write so well.

when i read your missive, i could have written about my lust for white women in a similar vein. it's a bizzare thing, really. maybe we shouldn't analyze it; and that we should enjoy each other.

also, to be counter-intuitive for a minute .... perhaps everyone is attracted to their direct opposite if cultural forces do not interfere. do you think that can be possible? so, black men and white women express a lot of attraction for each other nowadays because the societal rules of engagement do not (strongly) preclude us from coupling. on the other hand, black women and white men have other forces and rules at play e.g. black women (like most women) will only go out when asked .... but white guys will not ask them because they're typically surrounded by white women .... and black women, upon not being asked, can counter-react by rejecting white guys .... this is just an example of a counter-force that slows interactions between white guys and black women. you see far greater wmbw couples in europe where these forces are less at play. just a thought.

i digress. i love white women above all otehrs and i suppose it doesn't really matter why ...

I think we demonize each other and call ourselves racist a little too easily (IN THIS SITUATION).

And, as an African-American, I'm very sensitive to this, more than most.

However, am I racist when I look at an Asian woman that I like and just have a thing for Asian women for a week or two? Does a dark, Mediterranean male all of a sudden become a racist if he has a thing for nordic looking blondes?

Is a white male racist if he only wants to date Latin women? Or is it just pure attraction?

Some men love women that they perceive as being far more fragile or a lot smaller (which is one of the reasons I'm seeing the Caucasian woman I'm with right now).

    I'm about 6 feet, 210. She's about 5'3, 110.

Do we have great sex? Yes. Do I love the fact that her petite body cannot handle me in every position? Does it give me a sense of power and control over her (along with the ego boost of knowing that my "member" is too big for her at times)???

    ABSOLUTELY!!!

Opposites can and do attract. For me, there is nothing more polar opposite than a very athletic African-American man and a small Caucasian or Asian woman. And I enjoy this very much.

Latinas can and do often fit the profile as well.

There's nothing wrong with this at all. Men love women that make them feel super-manly. Women love men that make them feel extremely vulnerable.....IMO.

    It's all cool 8) .

Something worth thinking about: scientists speculate that women are instinctively attracted to different types of men depending where in her 'cycle' she is. I can't remember which way round...but there are times of the month when we're more vulnerable and will go for big, beefy, testosteroney guys to protect us, and other times when we go for wimpy, weedier looking men. Would anyone say there's anything sinister about that?

And it's probably right that we are pre programmed to fix on certain types or looks after a certain age...that is modelled from an early age. So, all the white guys I go for look similar to the guy I fell in love with for the first time when I was 14.

We should just live and let live. As long as you treat people how you like to be treated, what's the problem?

I cannot necessarily agree if size really matters. I'm a guy, so I will never know. However, if size does matter then I should have had women walking on crutches. There would be antacipated series called: Brokeback Mountain (The series). This in fact, would be heterosexual ONLY baby.

I've studied much history in college, and I honestly believe a white woman attraction with a black man was developed from slavery. I base my theory on issues, such as white men raping black women in slavery and apparently white men didn't respect the concerns of his predominant white female. As a result, the curiosity was sort of co-invented between white and black, especially among black men and white women, due to the "moral" ethical concerns that constrained them together.

In our modern society, it appears those same moral issues are spoken of about the affects of slavery, which has boasted more black men and white women together. And much of this is sought of as a very bad time of an ancient era, because white women were banished, as well as black men; therefore, you have common similarities involving American history during and after slavery.

When women are ovulating, they usually go for the masculine men. When they are not, they are going for the less masculine man.

HerIam, I would agree with you somewhat if we just examined the United States.

The problem with the theory is it does not, for example, explain the strong fetish native German women have for Black men and have had since at least World War II. Germany does not have a history of slavery other than their own enslavement by the Romans. Yet, German women love African-American and African men from all over the world.

I even have an older member of my family that married a German woman after World War II and brought her to Buffalo.

While there was a brief amount of slavery in Britain, it was very brief compared to the United States (the British enslaved the Irish much longer than they enslaved Africans).

British women truly enjoy the company of Black men and have for a long time. This attraction has little to do with slavery in the minds of women from the UK.

Canadian women were never exposed to slavery. But if you go to Vancouver, you might get tackled.

I think it's pure science: Who are the best athletes when you turn on the TV or go to a sports contest? Who is the new home run king? Who was the old home run king? What ethnicity has owned the heavyweight boxing title since about 1960? Can we really compare athletes of other ethnicities to Michael Jordan?

This lends itself to being able to protect a woman in any situation. She knows that she can go down a dark alley at 3AM in the morning in a tough part of town and no one will lay a single finger on her because of who she's walking with.

His physique might be a little better (or a lot better) than other men that have given up this part of themselves, the physical self. She gets (in some cases, not all) a man that has a body that looks better and feels firmer when she touches him. If he keeps fit (stays in touch with his physicality), he'll last longer and do it more often.

Don't get me wrong: A brother has to have a brain and a great personality and sense of humor in order to keep her for any period of time.

But, lets not fool ourselves: The first thing that attracts a woman is often how physically attractive he is....IMO...my theory.

Although, other things factor in: How powerful is he? Is he rich? Does he have a great personality? Is he fun to be with?....etc.

So I am new here, and anxious to share my feelings why I am attracted to black men. I have never been with one, but I hope to be someday, with the right guy. So what is it for me? Taboo? NO. To put it simply, I love black skin. Black skin is beautiful to me, both on men and women. The men I am attracted to have a certain look: I love the tall guys, and bald, and muscular, even overweight a bit. Mostly, aside from the look, I am really looking for the sweetheart, the lover, the talker, the wise man I can look up to. There seems to be a depth of understanding in a man of color, that most white men lack. I have seen a certain passion in the eyes of a black man, that I have NEVER seen in a white man. I am in want of this passion!

So Hi there, and no I am not shy! I am a bit of a novice in this area of chatting, only been playing around with it for a month now on another site. I love quantum physics! I am not a brain in the area by far, but I love the theories, and am blown away by what is out there, and for that matter what is in every cell, even every atom! It is nice to see someone up at this hour. It is almost 5 am here in Colorado. Nice to meet you Mr. Wedlock. :)

Sorry I took so long to reply wedlock, i didn't see that anyone had yet. I wasn't expecting anyone to be around for some reason, silly me. I looked you up, Bio-tech? I worked for Genentech, in S.F. CA for 5 years, well a few years ago. Like 15 years ago. I left to be a mom. I wish I hadn't left now, since the divorce in January. So what area of biotech do you work? I was in the PRL if you know what what I mean. I was in wound healing.

So, quantum physics, do you know of Brian Greene? I found quantum physics through the movie "What the Bleep do we know now" Love it love it love it. Hey, I am 44, too old for ya I am sure. I hope I can find a man around my age. I am young at heart though, love to salsa! U?

    The Attraction/Quantum Physics.

:D Huge huge fan of Greene.Loved "The Elegant Universe," and Greene also spoke at Duke University a few years back when he was promoting "The Fabric Of The Cosmos."He was kind enough to autograph it for me.Anyway, the best way is to go my profile, and click on eith the "AIM," or the "Yahoo" options.Or you could go to the website, wedlockmusic.com, and hit me on "Myspace."

You're not too old........so go ahead, and message me, or give me a way to contact you, and we'll chat about Mr.Greene.
