What would I do? I would improvise weapons and kick their asses if at all possible.

If not, then they'd do well to hope I never found out who they were, because there are very few things in life I'm willing to go to jail for, but fucking with the people I love is definitely one of them. It'd only take me a few phone calls after the fact to find a few people to roll up on the motherfuckers with me.

my former BF would have been so angry if i put myself in harms way...he has always been able to handle anything thrown his way...alot of people carry here, us included(concealment license)....so things can turn badly very quickly....but i have had to fly into a few men for remarks that they have made to me without him being present...which seems to be more telling of my experience.

It's a hypothetical situation, and no one can really know what's going to happen until it does. My point is, as you so clearly missed, that IF IT WOULD WORK I would do what I can.

It's not the 1920's, we're not all damsels who can't lift a finger. I'm also not an idiot. I've been in similar situations, so I can actually speak from experience.

There was once a brawl involving an ex of mine and a knife. Did I jump in the middle??? FUCK NO. And I had nothing to throw. I looked around for anything I could use and there was nothing available, and I was not about to get stabbed. But as soon as the fucking knife hit the ground I grabbed it and kept it away from them.

And I didn't get an ass kicking, so I guess it worked, huh?

 

yuuuup. If someone uses their brain instead of letting fear take over them in bad situations one can find weapons almost anywhere.

But it's more of deciding when to do anything.

People seem to forget the police aren't always available, or even care. There are some places where the time it takes for the police to actually arrive can mean death or serious injury if one doesn't act. And other places where the cops won't even show at all.

The cops aren't superhuman heroes. They're just as human as us, and if they're not around or don't give a shit you're fucked if you can't handle yourself.

 

I would help my husband fight off attackers like that regardless of his race. I would never let the man I love be unfairly attacked and do nothing. I'd gladly die for him if need be.

the hell? i would want her to run as fast as she could and contact the police. i would NEVER want her to EVER get into a fight. EVER! i don't mind if she jumped in front of a talk or an argument, and even then i am kinda iffy. but i would never want her to jump in. if i saw her take a punch it is like punching me 50 times. besides i am a martial arts expert and assistant instructor for judo and more. she knows i can handle my self and my battles are mine alone. hell i wouldn't even let her get into a fight with another woman 50ibs under her weight. NO! FUCK THAT! if some damages her soft and silky smooth skin, and gorgeous facial or bodily features, i would break their faces off, and would never forgive myself. i would be so pleased if i took a beating and to know she is safe and when everything is sorted out she could fix me up, now that's sexy! and safe!
