Ellahara in your country this is Black History Month. I didn't know it until four years ago.

 

Man that's funny. Its been my experience that the women who grew up in urban communities who made it to the collegiate level are there because they themselves are striving for a better life. I guess its fact since studies show that you and i as bla... i mean um... men like us...are in the minority when it comes to people like 'us' graduating college. It's more of them graduating than us, basically.

And i know plenty of people white and black from the suburbs who got exposed to things like drugs and get turned out in college because they were not exposed to their visual effects as kids. For example, I have never done drugs because i know what a crack head looks like. a girl i met in college had done every drug in the book, including crack. Urban isn't the problem. Or Fifty Cent. It's your personal drive and what you expect out of life. My two cents.

It is indeed. I was helping my friend research for it, as she spoke in my college's assembly for it, and I must say we had a lot of fun "researching" by looking up pictures of attractive black men!
