She is the daughter of actor Bruce Dern( Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Black Sunday and others).
I was surprised to see her in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. She looks great.

Just learned she is in that award winning show Big Little Lies too with Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. And judging by the tweets have a big fan base. So she is pretty well known. Going through the movies you guys mentioned and the ones I found out myself I truly didn't notice that that was her. lol. Also found out she is 5'10! Holy cow.

You don't have to be old to have seen Wild At Heart.
The movie is cult and one of the top 10 movies of the 1990s.
It was David Lynch's 2nd best movie, but I still preferred it to Blue Velvet.
It was THE movie IMO of Laura Dern's career. I became a huge fan of Nicolas Cage after this flick and even he said it was one of his best roles.
Amazing, fucked up, dizzying script, all time performances by several A list actors.
I even used to want to date a crazy chick like Laura Dern in this flick, but the downside like in the movie is her mom might be crazy too and out to kill your ass.
One of the few movies I can watch, see it again in 6 months and it's still new to me.
David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino were two of the hottest, most often imitated directors of the 1990s.
This movie is part of the reason why.

For a couple of weeks there was some buzz over this, even mentioned in the Washington Post. I believe I read something about her telling friends he was a guy she would love to have around her children. But the rumors quickly dispersed as they came. My personal beliefs on it all was that Common felt the disapproval of the black community from some front and broke things off.
