Well I have had a bit of bad luck with women. It all started a year ago when my ex cheated on me with my best friend and I caught them in bed together. When I finally started dating again I would go out with woman and they ll told me I was a really great, sweet and nice guy but didnt want to date me. Recently I was stood up on a blind date. I found out that the girl I was set up with came to the resturant saw me and left. This past weekend I went out with some friends to a nice upscale bar in Manhattan and when I went up to get my drink this woman assumed I was about to hit on her and she rejected me even though I had no intention of hitting on her.

I just want to know what do I have to do? Apparently all I am good for is a friend and nothing more, but that sucks when all you see is all your friends coupled up, and your a 3rd or 5th wheel.

Physcially I might not be the best looking guy but I am still attractive (5'8", 165, athletic build)

Personality wise, I am outgoing, with a great sense of humor, I like to have fun, tend to be the leader in a group of friends. I get along with everyone. I love my family, I am well traveled.

I went to school, got a great education. I have a great job. I respect women. I am a nice guy overall. I have never been in trouble. I am a very humble person.


What more do women want? What do I have to do to make myself more appealing? Am I wrong to assume it is me, because the only thing that all these situations have in common is me? I mean you can only hear that you are a nice, sweet, and great guy so many times before it completely pisses you off, because you starting thinking if I am this wonderful guy why doesnt anyone want to be with me.

Look, im not saying you should turn into a complete asshole over night....however,,i find no logic in being a "nice guy" at all.....and youve clearly tried it all your life and it has gotten you no where........my advice is 1) Grow siome fucking balls.....2) chage your game plan...3)get fuckin laid

I mentioned Terrance Howard in another post and how he's been typecast to play the roles of how some brothers keep the upper hand on women, I think you need to rent "The Best Man" an analyze what his character is saying. Bruh you in Manhattan, Where only the tough survive. Women there are accustom of men dogging them out so they've become tough also. Don't believe the hype opposites don't attract. Skin color is a trivial difference, most people look for people of the same personality and these women sense your a push over. However, on the other hand if you'd like to remain a nice guy, Cinderella will come along one day, but in NYC that someday is more one day. If you wanna get laid and not played... stop that chivalry shit unless your looking for a wife. I'm 5'8 also 163lb... I was voted flirt of the year in high school...I told them I'm not a flirt, I just like whats in the skirt and how it works...Women are the biggest predators(in a good way) they can tell with in 2 to 4 minutes if their gonna give you the draws, the see and sense your vibes. Remember your in New York, not pleasant ville. The creator of this universe be my witness, I have never approached a woman in my life, all my girlfriends and bartering partners approached me, a lot came from word of mouth, women talk to each other like crazy. Women that have "issues" want bad boys. Women that have their head on straight do not.

Women don't want a pushover..but sometimes the ladies can't differentiate between confidence and poor character. Just because you walk like you carry big stick and act suave doesn't make you "confident" any more than a quiet respectful man is "weak."

It's easier to deal with a bad boy because the expectations are lower...the girl doesn't have to be that good of a lady...if she is average..she is still a better partner. A good guy requires stepping up the game and some women can't handle the pressure of flying straight.

If a woman is always drawn to bad boys...she's got daddy issues...she wants to make you the man she wishes her father was even though she knows she can't.

Don't waste your time...if a woman is too dumb to see that being with a good guy that isn't a whiner or complainer....is a good thing for her...then maybe you don't need to be with someone that stupid.

Very true, there's a saying that "best friends bring out the best in each other" I think Good Men bring out the best in a woman, that is IF she's up to the task. But then again it works the other way around too.

However if you're looking for a long term relationship, then being nice is NOT a problem, it's a plus, but you still need to keep her feeling secure, that takes some bad boy qualities.

I want these traits in my man.

Nice (but not so nice he's a pushover)
Strong (but not so strong he scares me)
Protective (but don't be jealous or keep me in a cage)
Kind (but not so kind I think he's flirting with another woman)
Driven (but not so driven he's a work-a-holic)
Sensual (but not always pushing for sex)

Technically you and Toronto are both right.

A woman that is sound of mind and spirit will have a list that is similar to yours but a woman that has deep seated emotional problems will be just like what Toronto23 is talking about. If a woman can't appreciate kindness....it means she isn't accustomed to anyone treating her well, and that brings in a host of problems that most guys don't want to deal with.

Many 20-something ladies (not all of course) dabble around with the bad boys and most quickly learn that the experience is highly overrated. What they think is strength is actually selfishness and narcissism on the part of their "rebels without a cause." At that point...the biological clock starts to tick and they discover that they want the father of their children to be more than a good time in the bed. The bargaining power that 20-something ladies have is strong but they often waste their time with the wrong kinds of men and by the time they reach an older age..those same guys they had in the "friend" column hold far more chips and are often married to women that had the sense to figure out what was best for the long-term. Consequently the wild girls end up settling for less than they could have had.

God often sends people into your life and you have to be ready...a lot of the young ladies aren't ready.
