All I've had today is strawberry twizzlers (I've been craving them for some reason) & a couple bottles of water. I'm at work & the kitchen is closed on Sundays, & I didn't get up in time to fix my lunch.
I just had a wrap with chicken breast, mushrooms & bell peppers with a dash of Montreal chicken seasoning. I had an an apple grapes & yogurt for a snack.
You need to move up this way since you're all about the salmon. Salmon and clams are like the regional seafoods of choice up here.
Salmon is one of my favorite foods. I very seldom buy it & cook it myself, because it's hard to find quality seafood around here. I have found a couple of restaurants that serve good salmon though.
Hmmm. I guess things have changed over time. Growing up living in Louisiana and even when visting relatives in Texas, it was pretty easy to find quality seafood back then, especially anything caught locally off the coast near the Gulf. Even though you don't live near the Gulf, I would think at least the local seafood would be of quality. The oilspill perhaps effecting quality?
That is one thing I miss w the NW - The Salmon and all other fish was first class - and cheap. Copper river salmon.. yummmmmmmm... Cod... cold water shrimp aww gawd!!!! I csan go on and on. When I moved to LA - I nearly died when I found out that Halibut is twice as expensive here :smt013
fettuccine with grilled artichokes, fresh tomatoes, basil and feta goats cheese tossed through....yummmmmmm
Yep. Salmon, cod, halibut, tilapia, Alaskan king crab, shrimp and pawns...all those are real big on the seafood must have list up here. Back when I was single, I went out with a couple of girls who didn't like seafood which I thought was kind of funny seeing how much seafood is such a big deal up here.
I pity the fool who dont like seafood, LOL. Problem w having lived in the NW is that I became a seafood snob, I no longer consider farmed Salmon good.
You know what.... I told this friend of mine that moved there after I left - that I give her a year and then she will never touch farmed Salmon ever again - she didnt believe me at all.... Guess who was right
