The other side of the coin

Holy cow. W.T.F. :confused::eek:

Black men were treated poorly in the past as well by white men, black women were raped and some had consensual relations with said white men, I don't think today however that when I see a black woman with a white man she is sleeping with the enemy, its freaking 2011. That notion doesn't even enter the frame of thought.

Respect is a two way street, everyone has to individually respect the other person first if they expect the same in return, black, white doesn't matter, its a personal value system of each individual.

And how would that be any different from a black male in America, with a history of slavery, Jim Crow Laws during segregation, lynchings, anti-interracial marriage laws, even today a prison system loaded with black males, the stereotypes that accompany being a black man in America that you walk, talk and look a certain way as the prototype thug, gangsta, rapper, saggin pants, drug dealing criminal element.

I had college professors comment about "you're a very well spoken young man" its almost as though as a black male that somehow surprises them, because I never heard those sentiments echoed to non-black students in my interactions. I've been pulled over on the New York state highway when driving down from college on a couple of occasions with friends. Generally because being a young black male traveling with other black males in a car on the highway and they associate that with drug running activities.

Little things like those you encounter as a black man trying to lift yourself up, but I know my makeup and value system as a man. I wasn't even born in America and yet have experienced little things that shine a bright light on the issue of race.

I feel strongly about these things because I look at people as individuals because stereotypes are for the ignorant and short sighted. Skin color, gender, etc, doesn't begin to touch the surface of who the real person is.

cosign, cosign and if you sound intelligent around black folk (only a small fraction) they think you are some uppity negroe

Any woman that has to talk up her beauty is not a woman I would want to be around, it is frankly nauseating and reflects a princess attitude, something I find a huge turnoff.

Give me an intelligent woman any day of the week that knows about the world, has a good moral compass, a world traveler and opens up herself to new experiences and doesn't make things about her looks.

Any points that center around the superficial qualities of a person overlooks the depth of a meaningful relationship. An airhead woman is a turnoff to this brotha, give me smart, worldly, intelligent, sophisticated and cultured women only please, or those women that at least strive for those qualities in life.

You won't find many Black women that would trade places with a BM in America.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Fuck outta' here damn fool..

In America...a BW's word is better than a BM's word.

BM are and have always have been...the target for violence.

Corporations PREFER BW over BM.

WM are not threatened by BW...they are threatened by BM.

nobody wants to be in the place of a BM.....muslims dont want to be BM. BW is a two for one deal in coporate america...(cover 2 bases under affirmative action)

Yes, actually we are married.. and we have no life so we figured why don't get online pretend we are too white women.. cus for real we are too gay black men

bye, Im gonna go fuck my partners brains out

LOL. if you dont agree with everything they say you are a troll. hell I dont agree with everything you say but I hope we dont get all nasty about it.

I don't know what would make someone come to such a conclusion as hers, when history speaks for itself as clear as the light of day.

Can someone tell me what have black women endured that black men have not, being raped by white men I suppose. Except that black men were raped of what it was to be a man, head of your family and a leader.

Black men never had rules and laws that restricted the rights of black women in America, hell many black men can't even tell a black woman what to do today, she would look at him like he is out of his mind.

Heck how many times have we heard the phrase "Strong Black Woman"The white male-female historical relationship has no relation to the black male-female relationship in America and no one can argue otherwise on that front. It would be wholly disingenuous to do so.

they can say they were raped to be a woman because they were seperated from their kids and had to nurse the white folks kids.

that strong black women anthem is just a way for them to have a ticket to argue at a drop of a hat.

I don't want to be obnoxious with you but you are speaking in tones that leave me scratching my head at your conception of history.

Swedish history, the minorities in Sweden, learning about the U.S. from afar does not begin to touch the heart of the discussion.

I don't want to sound aloof, but I graduated as a History major and this is my bread and butter, I don't pretend to know everything about everything, but I try my darnedest to have an understanding of historical subject matters before jumping into it and making assumptions.

Do you have any idea of African American history in of itself. If you did you would realize that black men have never had the power to oppress black women in American society. To oppress someone you have to have power and control over them, something black men themselves didn't possess because of the nature of a discriminatory society. I won't even get into employment discrimination, destruction of the black family, drugs introduced into the black community, etc.

where have I said bm oppressing bw? nowhere dudie

wm did rape many bw.. and Id chose death over rape anyday..
that's the ultimate humiliation

Strong word right there.

Yeah its classic fallacy of composition.
Black people have it hard
Women have it hard
So therefore bw have it worst and its not true. They have a better chance of employment and living off the welfare system and they don't get gunned down by the police. I know they feel the emotional pain of our suffering but we're pretty much alone with the physical suffering.
Definately...and a young white girl from Sweden of all places..sure as hell isn't informed enough to say otherwise...unless she's just trolling.

LOL. if you dont agree with everything they say you are a troll. hell I dont agree with everything you say but I hope we dont get all nasty about it.

haha I have never demanded anyone to agree with everything I say. hel tomorrow Ill probably wont agree with everything I said today myself

that doesn't stop me from saying it today tho

LOL. everybody is trolling...maybe she isnt connect enough to get what goes on here in america doesnt make her a troll.

just because someone make a little off statements doesnt make them trolls or make statements you are very much against a troll. Im sure yall can sniff out a troll a mile away but ....

I read an article saying an anlysis from amerikanska Center for Community Economic Developments shows that said an unmarried ww has about 42600 dollar when she is in her 50's, a black woman in the same situation has about...... 5 dollars

if it was that easy to get good jobs I don't understand why the result wud be that...

sucky english now, I know. Im on a diiiet

Why are you coming to this conclusion that black women somehow have it harder than black men just because they are women, that is very presumptuous and shortsighted.

It would be akin to me thinking every White Southerner in America or White Afrikaners in South Africa is a racist, just because those places were two hotbeds of racial policies that shaped their cultures and society and so those folks must be all racist.

You draw a conclusion that is uninformed and shortsighted. Just becasue a black woman is a woman doesn't mean she had it harder in life automatically in American society.

If anything today it is black women who are the one's in America going to university and graduating at a higher rate than black men. It is all part of the discourse about the breakdown of relations between black men and black women and the oft repeated "not too many good black men available" phrase being tossed about.

You seem to be taking the white male relationship over history with white females as far as discrimination and applying that to blacks in America, that is a very faulty strategy. Black women never needed feminism to liberate themselves from black men, they have always had a free will in American history in their relations with black men, and we are back to what I talk about power and control, something black men do not possess over them.

Can you site any examples of black men oppressing black women in America. We know why white feminism came about, to be liberated from white male control over them but that equation never included black men, who faced their own battles to be liberated socially from oppression of the same white men.

Then what are you saying, white man's oppression of black woman has been worse than his oppression of black men.

I don't comprehend what you are asserting then. Who has been oppressing black women that is worse than what black men have faced.

Since rape is the ultimate humiliation then what about the black men that had to live with those black women, who might have been his daughter, wife, sister and as a man he had no power to do anything about it because it would cause him his life at the hands of the white male who had the power in society.

Now do you see why your notion of black women had it worse is so seriously flawed. You make it sound like it was black men that inherited some power from his forefathers, the wealth and influence, social status, privilege, black men were the bottom of society in America, even a lowly immigrant that came to the U.S. had more rights than a black descendant of slaves in U.S. History.

Black men benefited in no way from white men, none. Can you understand that. They were stripped of what it is to be a man, these concepts seem hard for you to grasp because you are seemingly intent on pushing that black women had it harder. If that is the case then do tell me how black women had it harder than black men in society. I'll be waiting to find out.

Nah just a young know it all. I swear I miss being that young when I knew everything lol

I have never said I know everything, have I.. I let the misters do that

I have never told anyone to shut up cus they are too stupid, I have never told anyone they are a fool.. what I have done is saying I was wrong on some parts..

We need some sistas up in hurr LOL

Could one imagine if black men had the power over black women that white men had over white women, sheesh.

The constructs of black feminism generally centers on how in the black power movement sistas were mistreated and black men disrespecting black women in hip-hop videos etc, etc. Remember when that was all the rage. So record labels, primarily owned by white males by the way mind you, switched to Latin and White women in the videos today.
