Experimenting with something different here....Theres plenty of threads that ask you to kiss your own ass and let everyone know how talented or attractive you are.

Lets hear at least two mental aspects about yourself that inhibits you from either catching a quality mate or keeping one.

And dont make me look like a fool by ignoring this thread and leaving me to be the only one airing his laundry. Theres plenty of you with faults :smt067

    Lets see...

    1. Focusing so much on one aspect I REALLY love about a woman I just met (body, face, some talent/interest she has) that I ignore the obvious faults that end up plaguing the relationships as expected. :smt102 :p

    2. Not nearly enough enthusiasm to participate in 'female like' activities. Attending weddings together, get togethers with her friends, etc.... which eventually becomes apparent to her.

One fault I've made was that I didn't want to learn the mothers language of one bf. The reason was that I felt rejected, because I was a different nationality to his family. They've told me several times that they would wish a woman for him of their own mentality. Although I thought he would be worth to do it, all the fun for that mentality and language left..

I've made some other mistakes, but it I felt at that time that the relationship wasn't worth of it, so I guess, it doesn't fit in here.

I'm often too paranoid. I dates this Swedish girl in college who was really into me. She was the absolute total package. Beautiful, smart (top of her in class in Urban Engineering), never nagged me, just a really gentle soul.
I was 25 and she was 27 and I was worried she'd want to get married soon and I just wasn't ready so I broke up with her out of the blue. I'll never forget how much she sobbed on the phone when I did it. Two months later she met another guy that she got married to and had kids with. I still feel dumb about that one.

I tend not to be patient. I broke up with a girl after she gained 60lbs. I probably could have helped her lose weight but I didn't know how to bring it up without hurting her. She lost all the weight plus ten lbs and she looks incredibly phenominal. She was cute when we met but drop dead gorgeous now.

Moral of the story I can't keep a good woman to save my life lol

lippy takes on projects...well, he isn't quite what i am looking for but i bet i can get him there...i am also famous for overlooking red flags...i see it right in front of me and i look the other way...i also have a tendency to repeat a pattern of dating the same type of man...

currently...i am forcing myself to look at men outside of my attraction hot zone...facing red flags head on...not taking on any remodeling jobs...looking for a nearly finished just evolving man that isn't broken or need of fixing...

She was 20 and gained it over two months. She had lost her job and was living with me. So she was depressed that she had lost her job and her place to live(she was a nanny). She was stuck in the apt most days and just ate. She was an amazing gf. She took great care of me and we had fun together but with the weight gain I wasn't attracted to her anymore so we stop having sex and that made things worst ten fold.

It's far away till there..lol.. but seriously I regret my lack of languages. Next week I am going to Russia, I won't understand one word, I am the only one who needs an interpretor, all others speak that language. That's difficult

I refuse to participate in a thread where we're not kissing each others asses (again).

    Oh... shit.,. I already did.

    Well, since I'm already here.

Low self-esteem would probably be the biggest one.
Explosive temper. (takes a while to build it up, but when it does watch the fuck out)

    Tricky question.

    Hmm...
-I tend to hold back too much at least initially, it's not something I see as a negative, but my exes disagree, so I guess it's on the list. ;)

-Seething, raging jealousy. Not always and never without reason, but not something I consider a positive trait all the same.

-I have a tendency to up and run, the more I care, the more ready to go I am

Seems like a small list, but I'm pretty relaxed in general, probably my main fault is coming across like I don't care when I do, but they're mostly things that improve as trust is earned/proved.

60lbs in two months is nuts. I would assume she was a big girl to begin with and dieted herself to the figure you knew.

The one foot in one foot out syndrome I know it well my friend.
I keep trying to remind myself there's reward without risk. So if I want the kind of love in my life that I want to give I have to be willing to risk my heart and that shit is really hard.

I’m a dabbler. I’ll start some new project or hobby, get really into it for a while then get the urge to try something else and lose interest. This means I have lots of half finished things lying around.

Yeah I knew she yo yo dieted before we started dating but I didn't think it could get that bad but to be fair it may have look like 60 to me but in reality could have been 35 but the person I use to be attracted to was no longer there.

    3. When im into a new hobby or in the process of researching a big purchase. Car, Plasma TV etc.... I get enthralled and ignore any and everything else around me. Including my woman.
