    I do this, too!

I attribute it to my epic ADD. lol

Additionally- I trust too easily, and yet I don't trust enough.

I am the perpetual devil's advocate. Some people see it as my just disagreeing to disagree, but I like to explore all options. I do try to be careful, though.

-An extreme temper and I must always be right which gets me in trouble.

-Too demanding, I expect others to carry their end of the bargain.

-To quick to judge people until they open their mouths.

I really have nothing to contribute to this thread as I am perfect. Always have been, always will be. Everyone around me is flawed. :smt042

In all seriousness, I like this thread topic. I'm too distracted now, but I'll come back later and answer this for real. :smt023

HAHA, I knew someone would ask me this.

I'll quickly let someone in...into the circle of trust, as it were. lol But, I always have a watchful eye to see when/if they're going to violate it.

I describe it as waiting for the piano to drop on my head.

I’ve a tendency to do that too, especially when I think someone is a bit closed minded. I like to remind them that there are other options too, even if I actually agree with them. I could be seen as a bit of a fence-sitter because of it too as I try and see both sides of an argument.

Max, I have both of your faults as well as a couple others:

    3. I am hyper-analytical/logical. This trait tends to suck the emotion out of a relationship for many women. They thrive on passion/excitement/whatever and I'm not a big fan of magic/mystery or whatever that elusive quality is that some women seem to need to make relationships fantasy-like. It always just seemed juvenile to me.

    4. I am too independent. I think some women are turned off/put off by that, because you don't need them and some women (I think) enjoy being needed.

I have a history of getting into relationships with men who are more emotionally invested than I am, so I feel more in control of the situation and have the upper hand. A defense strategy, and it has meant I have found myself deep into relationships with someone I don't love. Don't want to do that anymore :(

When I meet a guy I really like though I always seem to sabotage it in some way. I think I overcompensate. I swing between being extra keen and being totally aloof and have trouble just relaxing and taking it as it comes. Consequently, guys get scared off :p

I'm not great at expressing emotion. I always assume that my partner knows how I feel.

i'm riddled with issues, but the ones i can think on top of my head are:

    1. i lose myself and tend to just focus so solely on my man and his happiness and interests and forget about me
    2. i love the thrill of the chase and in the past would go for men that would seem impossible to get. once i got them, i would tire of them very quickly.
    3. i expect the man i'm with to be a mind reader

Things that I've done in the past that have led good guys to treat me crappy:

    1. I rarely spoke up when I felt like they weren't treating me well. And I'd keep all of those feelings bottled up inside until there wasn't room left and then I'd air it all at one time. LOL.

    2. This kind of goes with #1, but I never really had much self-esteem so that doesn't exactly lend itself to being treated well.

I know there are some more, but I'm tired. I'll come back to this tomorrow.

You're not alone on the second and third issues. I'm curious would you be ok with your man trying to talk to you about what he wants or would that come off weak?

Wow I could probably go on and on...

But I think one thing about myself is that I am too sexual... I like to flirt with my partner a lot,,,, even though I find it fun,, he may not....
