I get that pain, I really do. I guess you just have to weigh what the outcome could be, if there's the chance you could both be happy together it could be worth taking. Just take it slow. Try going out and getting to know each other a bit, don't get ahead thinking of "what if's", if you're not at that point yet. Getting to know her first would give you an idea of what to expect, if taking it further with a co-worker would be worthwhile. I mean, there might not be any chemistry at all, and the "what if's" were for nothing... or she could be 'the one' and then the "what if's" would still be for nothing. Get to know her, see how things go before taking the next step.
