I saw MS on lockdown the other day and had no clue why he was on lockdown.

This is horrible. MS, what were you thinking?!?

And who MAKES a picture like this? The person who made it should be "banned" from the freaking internet for posting such a horrible picture.

That is not cool or even remotely funny.

    Free speech ain't free, LOL.

I think your favorite guy is off lockdown now, though.

While I agree with your free speech sentiment, in this case, I wouldn't call that picture "free speech". I would consider that hate speech.

Does anyone on this forum watch the TV show "Orphan Black"?

My nephew got season 1 on DVD from the library and watched it. He then gave it to me and said I would like it. I had never heard of the show before. Likely because I don't have cable.

After the first 2 episodes I was hooked.

Tonight, I was just going to watch two episodes before turning on a movie and ended up power watching episodes 5-8. I want to watch the last two episodes of the season, but I have to wait until morning. ARGH.

But aside from my nephew, I know no one who watches this show. It's fantastic. I highly recommend it. And the lead actress is great.

No offense Athena but this article is a reductionist over generalized and dangerous misinformation. Men who do abuse and hurt women don't need education they know its wrong. Its like theft or assault people know its wrong they do it anyway. More importantly the patriarchal misogyny that women complain about they often promote, the same macho insensitive nonsense that's popular are promoted by women more than men because sensitivity is considered feminine especially if its coupled with a male who doesn't fit a certain physical stature.
Most men don't feel entitled to a woman's body most men have no desire to sexually assault or rape a woman. Those type of men are on the extreme fringe and articles like this stir mass delusions and take away from the real issue. It's fricking mental illness not under education.

This is most definitely reductionist but that's all the time we have in our pop culture. Sexual assault and harassment isn't mental illness, it's assholes who think we are their personal toys to fuck up. I disagree with the statement that women promote insensitive nonsense, maybe some do but most of the women that I know would love to be with a man with real feelings.

If most men don't feel entitled to a woman's body, why are so many of us assaulted (1 in 3) and even more harassed?

Firstly the reason why one in three women claim sexual assault can be determined by so much. It could coincide that most of these thongs aren't reported so the same small group of assholes do it over and over again without any repercussions. I would like to know what the reporting process is, how they're acquiring the numbers of ones in three.
When I said women promote insensitive nonsense I menmt they feed into the whole machismo bad boy image of aloofness/"manliness"
And maybe its an age thing but a lot of women forgive aggressive behavior when itsomeone they like, its not treated as assault or considered that because a lot of women aren't vocal about it in the moment which makes things a confusing. There's a fine line between harassment and persistence which only seems to be determined by how attractive the guy is.

Women who "forgive" aggressive behavior toward themselves usually have extremely low self-esteem issues, have been abused in the past, and don't know any better and can be easily manipulated. Age has nothing to do with it.

On the flip side, there are men who are in the same boat as the women described in my first paragraph that "forgive" aggressive behavior by women. It happens to both sexes and from opposite sexes as well as same sexes.

It's just a matter of a manipulating personality looking for a weak personality and attaching itself to the weaker personality.
