I pray, read my bible, write, exercise, and other things that are uplifting and get my endorphins flowing. It's also a good time for self-reflection and making changes where necessary, and to shift focus to more positive things. It's not always easy, but working through it is better than letting it get the best of you.
Hope you're feeling better man! Just got back from Day 2 of my son's tennis tournament. 3 wins, 1 loss so far. Back at it tomorrow at 11a.m. You should have seen me racing to the car afterward to get the Cup on the radio, lol. As for the drunk running, it's called hashing. Search for hashers in your area. They run a 5, 8 or 10K and have a pint before and one or two afterward. It's good fun. Besides, you sweat the beer out pretty quickly. Hope it works.
Hope you both had a wonderful time! Whether you went for personal reasons or just to show your support...I think it's very cool. Showing respect and support for all love...that's the example we should all be setting for our children imo
Ignore it. No women like a man that can not admit to having bad days. We are all human. Sometimes your stubborn as a mule but you are always real. Keep it.
For real, I came to this thread just to say this exact same thing in observance of TDK's comments in the 'cold approach' thread. I think I agree with maybe... 11% of the shit that comes out of TDK's mouth, but I gotta give him props.,. he speaks his mind whether it's popular with the other posters here or not. He never tries to kiss anybodys ass, nor have his ass kissed, which is pretty uncharacteristic for a New Yorker.
Thank you Raider. She came out at 11 but I wouldn't let her label herself until she was older and could sort out her feelings. I am 100% cool with her being gay. He girlfriend is beautiful and so darn sweet. She makes my daughter a better person. It was interesting I will say that much. There was a Darth Maul dressed woman walking another woman on a dog leash. Speedo's and bronzed men galore. And so many assless chaps I lost count (for both men and women).
And that's what it's all about! As a parent...if I can say that about my child's partner, I'd be content. Kudos to you for respecting and supporting her the way you do. It's unfortunate that not all parents would react the same with similar circumstances.
I do the things the got me through the hard times in my life (I made a list). So, I go down that list and before I'm even 1/4th the way through I kind of forget what my bad day was all about.
