The Nerdz Lounge.

Stuff like this is what I miss about my crew back home in MI. We'd have these kinds of arguments over some steaks grilled out in the back yard or what we called "Nigga Nachos" cause we'd put anything we could think of in them. Steak, chicken, pork, beans, all kinds of veggies, taco sauce, Frank's Hot Sauce, ... Just what ever we thought would taste good at that moment. And all in big, caveman size portions. Then we'd either rent some movies or play an old school game like Sciphon Filter, Tomb Raider or Soul Blade for hours. Always talking shit the whole way. ...lol

Good times, for real.

Dude was basically allowed to coast through the Jedi Order because of the whole "He Is Chosen One" crap IMO.

If Jedi training was like training to become a Shaolin monk/warrior, and padawans had to go through 35 or so levels of training and discipline before they could become an official Jedi, his ass would have been either weeded out for his obvious lack of discipline and devotion to the Jedi Order and booted out or they would have cracked down on his ass, if they truly believed he was indeed the Chosen One To Bring Balance to the Force. Just my opinion however.

Hit em with the David carridine shit OG!

Lol@ comparing Jedi training to 'fine you can take on ten but I will teach you to take on 10000' league of shadows training

Go head, nah!

Like I said I'll take the dude who can move space ships with his mind and wields a laser sword over dude who wins mostly because he has a billion dollars worth of toys.

Take away his money and status and bruce wayne still has league of shadows training

Hell, that's what the league of shadows is all about to begin with

Tactics and strategy win wars and that's where Bruce's genius comes into play

Dude outsmarted darkseid for crying out loud

Jedi were generals in the Clone wars they were masters of strategy as well.

It was a risk on Nintendo's part, but paid off extremely well. Their strategy to make the Wii an easily accessible, family-friendly system, with a new controller mechanic paid off incredibly well, despite the software sales not matching up to par with their competitors.

Also, to play Devil's Advocate here, Nintendo is the only company that is strictly in the console business and they are about making money. Sony and Microsoft have many more billions in the bank and they also have other divisions to fall back on, in case their product fails. That is why, when they do create consoles, they often operate on a loss for a few years and still manage to generate manageable revenue as a whole. Nintendo, on the other hand, with their marketing decisions, they generally have net gains each year, generally keeping things at a low cost for hardware production, plus licensing fees which they make developers pay if they want their games on the consoles.

As of now, game development has grown much more expensive each passing generation and for developers to keep pushing graphical power over time will cause the game industry, as a whole, to implode from within. Eventually, simply adapting to new raw power won't be enough, and small developers would have to be persuaded to develop on their platforms with little fees.

But, the industry has radically changed in many ways. So, we may not see the Golden Age of Gaming anymore.

What it boils down to for me is how much the Wii sucks, and there's nothing that will make it not suck for me. I'm not at all impressed with what I think is a weak setup. I still haven't finished Skyward Sword yet, because I don't enjoy playing on the Wii. The game selection also sucks.

If it wasn't for the popularity of the Zelda and Mario games, Nintendo wouldn't have much of anything going for them these days.

That's the only reason I bought a wii u

Nintendo has access to certain long-standing copyrights/mascots/gaming genre that the other systems fail to match

I just waited until the price dropped before buying one but I knew I'd kinda 'had to have it'

Yep, it's those long-standing things that keep them in business. I haven't bought the Wii U yet, but I know I will when the new Zelda game is released this year. I'm a Zelda junkie, and they'll always benefit from that. lol

Zelda usually wins plenty of awards no doubt and has a crazy fan base

I was hoping for a version of metroid specifically built from the ground up for wii u but that ain't happening
