The biggest complaint you hear about Scandal is the infidelity. Not the IR. Why would one complain (about the IR)? - her character is smart, educated, she makes scandals go away...and she's screwing the most powerful man on the planet/POTUS.Those cross eyes and hurt feelings didn't stop Scandal from being the top television show in the US. They didn't stop Hawthorne from several seasons depicting a black female lead in relationships with white men. They also don't stop black women from getting cast opposite white men in romantic relations in just about every other movie and TV show these days without the relationships being portrayed as stereotypical or aberrant.
On the other hand, angry reaction to BM/WW IR has either caused producers to end on screen relationships in shows or prevent BM characters from hooking up with WW characters in more instances than you can count.
....
Uuhh i made the thread about the cheeroos commercial before anyone here talked on it

No small-time nobody, of course.
The Industry so loves seeing Black women with WM, they give out Oscars for it.
OoopsWell, you actually made a duplicate thread five days after Nobledruali already did. :?
You need to stop equating an issue that is uniquely specific to BM/WW relationships to IR relationships as a whole. It comes off as out of touch and condescending. Just saying...

Like with modern family jay and gloria (IR) have a normal functional and loving relationship.
The big bang theory when one guy dated an indian....all if new york and not one black. Oh wait rick fox played up a stereotype in one episode
U can see that in other IR other than black -white
Showing IR relationships as pathological is usually a feature of minority male/white female relationships.

We love this show. Could watch house hunters and property brothers literally all day long
I would like to see IR romance portrayed as just as virtuous, just, loving, intelligent, and thoughtful as any other relationship rather than buck-run-amok and lewd bad white girl. I'm not saying those negative stereotypes don't exist, but Hollywood seems to think that's the vast majority (if not all) of IR relationships.
The best examples were True Colors and The Robert Guillaume Show(Benson). They showed relationships that were meaningful even though they were limited. But we get the idea.
I forgot about benson. Im sure if the internet was around , social media wouldve been brutal on him
