A long time ago, my step mother was dying of leukemia, my sister had ovarian cancer and I had a tumor in my spinal cord - all at the same time.
That is what started my interrest and work in Oncology. Lets just say I have a passion;-)I really dont talk about that, dark times..... and I hate people feeling sorry for me so I refrain from bringing it up. BUT, Ilearned a LOT and became a MUCH better person from it. Trust me when I say, I would not be the person I am if it was not for that.

The last thing I would feel for you is sorry. Surviving it is a big ordeal. You have to be strong to survive something like that.

I'll say it again, that's why you see less than average BW on National TV making jack asses of themselves with the likes of Steve Tower, DL King and Hill Harper. That's why they and guilty white libs are trying to push Gabby Sidibe as a "sex symbol".

I don't think anyone's promoting her as a "sex symbol" as such... But what's wrong with celebrating beauty in different forms? Should we lock her in the cupboard and pretend she doesn't exist? And before anyone says it, it's not about promoting unhealthy lifestyles/bodies, it's about the media taking a turn from idolizing skinny girls as the ultimate in beauty.
