Do I need to change my ways

I don't mind at all, yes it is the first real relationship since my divorce. I was interested in another guy briefly but never dated him, we are still great friends and he helped me to believe in myself again.

I was alone for most of the last 3 years of my marriage, and divorced for 2 when I met this guy, and I was not at all interested in dating anyone, I just didn't trust men, nor did I feel I needed a man in my life. I was really impressed with his amazing character, so I think he's well worth the wait.

Any special reason you were asking?

I was just wondering, more based upon some of the things you've posted in different areas. Sortof trying to piece the story together in my mind.

He sounds like a really special man. I hope things work out really well for you guys!

I believe this sounds exactly like a case of a good guy being saved from dating shitty women.

Instead of putting it all on you, turn it around and realize how nasty THESE women are. Thank god you didn't marry this ex and found out about her...that god that AWFUL woman who walked out on the blind date didn't stick around, a human who would do that would waste your time, and thank god that woman dissed you before you ran into her at another bar at another time and wasted even more time hitting on her.

Seriously, I felt the same way about myself a few years ago, I could not figure out what more I could possibly do to keep from being dissed in relationships and dating scenarios. Finally I dated two awesome guys and though we broke up, now when I get dissed I am just relieved I didn't give them my time or effort. Plus when guys treat me wrong it just makes my exes and friends who care about me look more amazing and wonderful...and it keeps me from taking future relationships for granted.

Its not you. Believe me. I am never ceased to be amazed how close-minded, short-sighted and utterly disappointing people are. But man do I love my friends!

Ok, take it from me, man; just stick on working on yourself.

I have possibly the worst luck with girls. I barely ever get past the flirting/dating stage, in highschool my friends used to laugh at me about it, because I definitely know a thing or two about being the 3rd wheel.

It's weird, though, when I stopped caring about it, things just improved. I can laugh about it now, so my best advice is to just do you.

Now I'm in college in Tallahassee and am heading over to FSU this weekend; I've never had any experience with white women before so this should be fun.
