hey ladeezman, i know exactly what you mean. black women see me and just naturally reject me. i might just be the ugliest thing to them, but it seems that is not logical since i have no problems with white and latina women. So what could it be that threatens or frightens a black woman away from a guy like me?? Can someone address this? I have a college degree and masters; a great well paying job, a nice car, homes, no incarcerations, totally straight. so what is it that they want??

I have had the same experiences at University as you did. the black women on campus printed the names of all the Black guys dating WW and posted it up all over campus. they wrote harrassing and threatening letters to the men and some women, but if you ever tried to talk to one of them before you were dating, they would turn their nose up and roll their eyes, just in passing. what is that all about can someone explain?

white men are threatened for some reason too, i dont know. they make comments at clubs about the black guys coming in and picking alot the women, so most of the time I just stand off to watch all night. At one brew pub club, they had to have two dance floors. one for hip hop, r&B and another for pop music. all the white boys, with the exception of the Peurto ricans and italians stayed in the pop dance room, while the black guys went to the other room. and black women, white women and latinas went to the hip hop room while just white women stayed in the pop room.
i watched this for years and found it amazing, almost like they didnt want bm and wm to compete on the same playing feild for the single women.

have others had similar experiences?

 

Thats true of most people. Its a fact that people tend to date or marry someone at the same level of attractiveness as themselves.

You know what? I haven't had this type of experience with every black woman, but I have had this similar experience with more of them than less, and not all of the women were black either. I guess it may all have something to do with all the previous discussions we've had about racism and prejudice, you know, white privilege, Eurocentricism, and so forth.

At first, I didn't quite understand it myself, but I think it has a lot to do with what we have been talking about in regards to societal stigmas in the black populace from the aftermath of slavery, segregation, along with many other aspects that fit into play, like the prior response I have written.

I really believe that our usual discourses on prejudices may explain all of this. I'm sure you can recall them.

BM don't enforce ridiculous requirements on women..We don't get much credit in this society...but..that's why you don't see sisters starving themselves and vomiting after every meal..

They don't have to mortify themselves to attract a Brother..because we like women to be healthy and not staggering around looking all cadaverous an' shit.

Up here in Canada, it's the same thing. Many black women I've met have a distorted view of themselves and a false sense of entitlement.

They do the exact opposite of what a good woman should do to attract a good man, almost as it they don't really want one in the first place.

 

Yup:

They do want good men, they just don't want GOOD BLACK MEN.

They don't have problem dating a boring ass white, Asian, or Hispanic guy. He can short, geeky whatever, and they will take him any which way they can. They just don't want a damn good black one.

I had to comment on this one! I totally agree with you on that. Ihad a friend in the military, who was a Captain and she invited me to come to a hockey game between her base's team and another team. Well all of the higher ranks were there. I had to go to the washroom, and went and stood in line with her, but she had to wait until the general's wives had peed first before she could get in line. I was civvy so not required to follow suit

I thought that was horrible, I mean it was like: get back woman, I just blew the general!!!! None of those women had any rank at all except from who they "slept with". Yikes!!

I only know a few black women but they seem a lot like the white women I know. Rather nice.
