This is so true. But it doesn't just refer to women. There are lots of men out there who have incredibly low self-esteem who allow women to walk all over them and dominate their lives.

People who allow themselves to be treated like crap are in a vicious cycle that they've probably been exposed to for most of their lives and they don't feel they deserve to be treated any better and they probably feel "lucky" that the other person wants to be with them, so they allow themselves to be doormats.

They suffer from very low self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance, everything related to self.

It's a little different with men though. Usually, those men don't have a lot opportunities to meet and date women. I've seen women who could have practically any man they wanted, yet they stick with the Ahole.

They don't have a lot of opportunities, because they lack the self-confidence. They don't think they have what it takes to find a woman who will treat them well.

Just like women who are doormats don't have alot of opportunities. They lack confidence in themselves and take the first guy that shows interest in them.

I agree with this observation Espy. My ex told me that my confidence and independence was a huge turn on for him initially but he grew to hate it. Yes he used the word "hate".

LMAO! Where have I heard that before, and how many times? Maybe there's a book we don't know about... 'Men who love and then loathe self-confident women, the 10 step approach to putting her in her place.'

Why start a new thread to say the same thing when there are perfectly good older threads that have already been started?

I don't see the issue with it. I don't think they're trying to get older members to come out of the woodwork. I think it's an interesting topic and instead of having 5 threads dealing with the same topic (which happens enough) why not bring back an old thread?

It's not hurting anyone. And it's interesting to see the different perspective of people who have left their "voice" here so we can know how they think and see different POVs.

Acctually, its not only women that look at kindness as a weakness.. Its equally the same the other way around.

It appears to me that there a lot of these types of complaints about women on this board, but what I find curious, is that you dont see the same complaints comming from the women.

I think a lot of men, somehow forget the fact that the vast majority of problems you are complaining about in regards to women is reversible.
We complain about the exact s a m e stuff as men..
Most issues brought up here are human issues, not female issues or male issues.. such as this one.

I would like for my lady to be an intelligent and kind woman because those are some of the qualities that make a lady "A Lady". A weak man is looking for a weak woman..otherwise he has problems to control her and out of the reason that he has not much to say in general, he wants to be the boss at least at his own house.

A self confident man doesn´t fear the competition of his woman, he knows who he is, and takes more care about her charm, her intelligence, her character. "He enjoys his Lady"

I dissagree.. somewhat..but not completely.

I think this is a cunundrum for both sexes...... Sure, it weeds out the "unworthy" at some point, but it may take a while before we see that.
but it surely doenst make it "easier". You still have to endure the pain.. and hopefully, we dont bring it forward.

It is true that you have to go through the pain once in your life, but for me, as soon as I see any sign in "not respecting" or trying to humble me, I don´t feel any pain, just anger and the wish to teach him a lesson.

Sexually it is something else,btw.

Sure, but sometimes it takes a while for some people to show you who they really are. If you are emotionally vested at that point, sure you will feel pain.
Its human.
If that happens, I get over the pain stage pretty quickly and move on, but I never feel a wish to teach anyone a lesson, not worth my time.

It hurts, yes, and it is absolutly wrong to feel to be better than somebody else, just because of gender.

There are not many things in the world I cannot accept, but that is one of them and I cannot close my eyes, if I am confronted directly by injustice.

With "teaching a lesson" I mean that I will take the challenge and that I´ll force him to show me that he is really better than me or other women..

Women know if they're willing to give it up in the first five minutes (varies with age and swagg apeal of the suitor) all we have to do is not mess it up with talking. They've already played the whole thing out their heads we just need to go along for the ride
