^^LMAO at that Chris Brown photo!! Speaking of Chris Brown I'm sure he's glad Kanye pulled that stunt, at least it took the heat off of him for a while. Anywho, Kanye was on Jay Leno tonight and he made what looks to be a sincere apology, but he said he wanted to apologize to TS in person. I think that would be a good idea so we can but the irrelevant drama to bed. There are a lot of more important issues the media could be focused on instead of this, i.e. health care reform, the economy, the war in Iraq perhaps. There is no sense in beating a dead horse, even now the closet racist have come out on different websites trying turn this into a racial issue.
For real. This might take some of the pressure off Chris, but not for long though. At least Kanye didn't go on stage and chin check Taylor for the mic. Funny how dude was so quick to apologize. At least he did it, and wants to apologize in person. I respect him for that. And I'm glad Beyonce gave Taylor another moment to "do-over" her award acceptance. That was cool. I don't really like Beyonce, but she gets major points for doing that for her.

West came to Leno's show last night to apologize. He sounded like he was acting lacking sincerity in his actions. The media and others are really giving him a rapper's beatdown.
Bookie, you are right on the money with this one as usual. I don't even need to add anything else. I was just stopping by to sing your praises. Great post!!! :smt023 (Unfortunately, I can't give you rep for it yet, but it's coming.)
Oh jeez. Maybe they could have picked a celebrity who died the same day as Michael? Like Farrah. But, I giggled. Poor Patrick. Poor Kanye will not live this down anytime soon.
Wow really wishing death on somebody makes things better, does anybody else here thinks he should be killed? If a star was to say what you just said on t.v. that would be putting yourselves below his level for saying that. And Im starting to see the closet racist all over the internet turning it into a race thing, Look it was horrible what he did for the reasons that number one it's a young 19 year old girl, number 2 its a female, and number 3 like she said it was her first vma award. He was wrong and acted foolish yes, but he is also human, a man who lost his best friend his mother, a man that never got the chance to really grieve because he has been working and on the road, broke up with his fiancee, in a off and on relationship with amber rose all the while folks are tearing her apart in the media about her past, he is going through alot, wouldnt say that justifies his actions, but certainly doesnt deserve a verbal noosing, if anyone want to talk racism I would compare what he is getting to the "Black men shall suffer the ultimate consequences for messing with a white woman" commandment that was very, very true in this country not that long ago(lasted until the late 90s.). Especially people not caring if he was murdered for this, like a certain someone. So if anybody want to through racism, Oh believe me I can throw that out there. Point is kanye was wrong and jackass (like the president put it.) for interrupting a GIRL'S moment. But it is something that an apology can be accepted, I mean we accepted jamie foxx's apology, we accepted michael richards' apology. And at least he aint using "Im going into rehab" as an excuse, at least he didnt cancel on the Jay Leno Show, at least he didnt use any excuse except for it being boneheaded, he could of easily blamed it on the alchohol, and anything else, if people were listening to his apologies he blamed no one but himself and that is when someone can blame noone but themselves it's forgiveable.
True, true! And I'll be the first to say, I do believe wishing death on ANYONE is a bit over the top, so let's not think that I side with that comment, but at the same time please try to understand that there are some of us who just don't think Mr. West is genuinely apologetic. This is NOT the first time he has dissed other artists, and in fact, this is NOT the first time he has dissed a "white" artist. Gretchen Wilson, Justice and Simian, as well as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, all have been the subject of his verbal critisizm, so with Taylor Swift rounding off the category for The Most Recently To Be Verbally Assaulted White Artist By Kanye West Award, I think it's high time he be known for who, or what he REALLY is. A Black Racist who's actions, and behavior is both inexcusable, and shouldn't be tolerated. There I said it!
I'm gonna have to agree with you. Dude just doesn't like white people. Along with his comments, prior to his more commercial stuff, quite a lot of his songs contained insults and digs at white people. I know a lot of rappers bang on about how much they hate crackers (hi, Plies) but I've always found Kanye's stuff to have a bit more body. Still, I didn't think the Taylor Swift incident should be viewed as a racist incident but just as him being a prick. It's not about her being white, a girl, or even getting her first VMA award. It's just VERY disrespectful of him to do something like that. I find his apology insincere. It's something he had to do to make sure that it wouldn't harm his career too much. As for wishing death on him?! Nah! Of course not! I wouldn't complain if someone clipped him round the head but to wish death on someone is extreme. Wishing death on terrorists and serial killers is one thing, but a musician with a big mouth? Come on. Too far.
Talked on the phone last night, my 15 y/o daughter calls, we talked for about an hour, even she was outraged, and said exactly the same thing.
Kanye West a racist? Um, no. Doubtful. His blog is full of art he loves from people of other races, primarily White. He works with White people constantly, and is always giving props to one artist or designer or another, usually White. His "where are you yeezy" series of pretty girls on his blog frequently features White girls, for which he consistently catches shit on his blog. He refers to his own girlfriend as "White." He takes pictures of well dressed White children and posts them on his blog to show off their style. He hires White singers to work with him. He went on and on about how much he loved Paris. I find it completely ridiculous that anyone is suggesting he is anti-White people. I don't know what people are attributing that to. The only thing I can imagine is that it stems from his comments about George Bush. Perhaps simply identifying obvious racist injustice is enough to get one labeled as a racist themselves. Maybe it's because of his loyalty and support for other Black artists. Maybe being supportive of Black people makes some people suspect racism. I dunno what makes people think Kanye's racist. But they're wrong, I think.
The digs I've heard in his songs are usually about White America or White racists, like the ones at the Gap he worked for. I've heard nothing in his lyrics that I found as offensive as, for instance, Common's comments about guys in dreads with White girls.
Also, I think people who think this hurt his career are crazy. This is wonderful for his career, so much so that many people think it was staged. It's been great for the VMA's, great for Taylor, great for Kanye.
