Rediscovering Christmas Premieres Sunday, December 15th at 8/7c on Lifetime.
When Mia (Jessica Lowndes), a talented Boston department store window designer, travels to her family’s Connecticut town to help her sister design the decor for its annual Snowflake Festival Christmas Eve dance, she finds herself at odds with–and later attracted to–the stubborn but kindly Adam, whose grandparents founded the beloved festival 60 years ago.
I'm finally watching "The World We Make" right now. I'm 43 minutes in & OMG this movie comes off as an afterschool special. It's heavy-handed & cringeworty, LOL. I groaned & chuckled when the female lead was telling her friend that dude she was going out with is "African-American" instead of just saying "black".
EDIT:
@Tsharp99 They really got an attractive biracial chick with natural long curly hair to play the angry black chick that whines about the black male lead dating a white chick. HORRIBLE CASTING!!! I don't even believe her when she says she has limited dating options. A chick like this normally has NO PROBLEMS getting attention from niggas.![]()
Yep & it's cringeworty AF.Wait....they're still giving time to a black chick in these films talking about their men being taken?
The next thing to keep an eye on is this....

This is Elizabeth Debicki and John David Washington shooting in Italy for Christopher Nolan's $250 million dollar motion picture epic "Tenet".
Washington is the confirmed lead of the movie. Can't say if Debicki or any other woman (there is another youngish white female as part of the main cast) in this motion picture is his love interest. But Debicki is though to have the biggest role of any woman in this film. Regardless it will be an interest pairing whether romantic or otherwise considering she is a 6'2 and homeboy is about 5'10. Good thing she isn't wearing heels. Not to many lead guys in Hollywood can match her height. As info comes in I will update regarding a pairing I will make the posting. Btw the teaser for this movie (which is still in production) is showing/debuting exclusively this weekend at some IMax theaters showing the Hobbs and Shaw movie.
As far as Tenet goes...
He is the only brotha in the film and there are no black actresses(at least part of the main cast) - https://screenrant.com/tenet-movie-christopher-nolan-cast-release-story-trailer/
So if there is a romance then I would think by the interaction and body language it is between him and that really tall lady. lol.
If you're going to go see Hobbs and Shaw in theatres this weekend then they will be the only studio playing a teaser trailer for the flick.

I'm very aware there are zero black actresses in Tenet. That's why I'm so fucking pump for it. A $250 million blockbuster by one of this century's greatest directors that is rumored to be a high concept story which happens to have a black male as the lead is the type of shit I've been thirsting for. But the huge cherry on the top is the absence of black women. That means it's a project in which a leading black male character isn't handcuffed to a black woman, which is a rarity in itself these days. Most of all it means black twitter won't try to champion a black actress over the lead black actor which happens all the time. GOD BLESS CHRISTOPHER NOLAN! Because 4 out of 5 directors would have made that character a black woman of made that character a white guy and made the leading female black or after making the lead guy black they would have given him a non-white female co-star. Again though this is a topic I need to discuss in some other thread.
And Christopher Nolan has a good track record of making blockbusters just by adding his name to a project alone. One of the very few directors that can do that in Hollywood. That's why studios are willing to give him $100's of millions of dollars to make movies. I also heard one of the internet theories on this super secretive movie that it maybe a sequel to Inception.
Black Twitter is one of the most annoying things about social media. But I'll save THAT for another thread. lol.
Its black woman Twitter at this point. They rarely cheer for black men unless attached to black women in some way.
True... but you're forgetting about their stans that don't like you coming for their black queens and the gay black men that are also a part of black twitter.
I think you automatically put both those groups in the Black Woman box. Hell, I do at least.
Which is why I said we should just call this collective The Black Gynocracy. If you ever seen that video we have posted here before he breaks it down honestly and raw.
Here's a new one I haven't seen posted here. We get a channel here called Ion (is that national?). They're running their own Christmas themed movies, and one of them stars the guy from Save the Last Dance (Sean Patrick Thomas).
It's called Rent-an-Elf.
It's your standard Hallmark- or Lifetime-style movie. It has a RIDICULOUS plot. Here's the synopsis:
Type-A personality, Ava, owns “Rent-an-Elf,” a business in which she sets up memorable Christmas for busy families. This year, she's hired by the newly-single Liam and falls for him and his adorable son, Nathan. But, just as Ava thinks she’s found her match, Liam’s ex-wife returns, wanting to patch things up. Even though Ava decides to put Liam and Nathan's happiness above her own, she's still determined to give them the best Christmas ever, and maybe even hope for a Christmas miracle or two.
Like I said, ridiculous plot. But it does have the rare love triangle with a black guy and two white women LOL. Anyway....

I get this channel. Looks interesting and yes very rare IR love triangle. Not a fan of love triangles regardless though, but I'll check it out.
This love triangle isn't gonna make you a fan of love triangles lol. But it probably won't make you mad either.
This will not be the first time that Sterling K. Brown has smashed a white woman. He smashed Kate Hudson in the movie Marshall.
Wished it was because l saw the movie more than once.I still need to see that. Is there much of a visual for the scene?
Hoping the Lively-Brown scene is extended from the trailer.
(Potential, not definite. But one to keep a look out on.)

Kiernan Shipka, Isabela Moner and Shameik Moore to star in
Netflix ensemble film Let It Snow

"Set during a once-in-a-century snowstorm on Christmas Eve, Let It Snow follows several high school seniors who discover unexpected opportunities as well as complications that test their friendships, love lives, and aspirations for the future. "
All right, you called it correctly and the IR-friendly trailer
dropped today.
Looks like Shameik Moore and Isabel Moner will get there own separate love story in this which is good. It allows focus on that relationship.
Let It Snow had a happy ending
I just got done watching "Let it Snow". Was anyone else turned off by the fact that Shameik Moore's love interest just looks too damn young? Their relationship onscreen just looked like a college-age dude messing with a chick in middle school.
Agreed. I thought it worked. I really liked the story. Not really. I didn't see what you saw. lol. I thought they both worked fine.
Same Time Next Christmas
Wait, who's the other guy? A romantic rival?
Noooooooooooooo!!![]()

The premise and previews give no hint of it. Plus her and Charles are the lead characters.
I kinda disagree. When I looked up that Twitter hashtag #SameTimeNextChristmas a week or 2 ago, I saw a bunch of onset pics & video clips with Bryan Greenburg & Lea Michelle. Bryan Greenberg is too recognizable/familiar an actor to not have some type of major role in this TV movie, but since all the previous promos & casting news all promoted Charles Michael Davis & Lea Michelle as the leads, I didn't think nothing of it.
This is the concept of the movie: - https://deadline.com/2019/08/bryan-...ay-movie-same-time-next-christmas-1202664657/
"In the movie, Michele plays Olivia Henderson, a young woman who met her childhood sweetheart, played by Davis, during her family’s annual Christmas visit to Hawaii. After being separated by distance and years, the two reunite at the same Hawaii resort years later and the old chemistry between them flares up anew – but circumstances conspire to keep them apart.
Greenberg will play Gregg Harris, Olivia’s boyfriend, a super fit triathlete, dapper real estate agent who is always angling for the next big deal. He envisions him and Olivia as a super-team in Cincinnati real estate.
Davis is Jeff Cutler, a handsome, affable, charming young man — Olivia’s childhood friend and teenage heartthrob from their annual Christmas trips to Hawaii."
I don't really like when they try to create love stories out of couples that are already happy together, but Bryan Greenburg's character description to Leah's sound like a guy more focused on their careers rather than the relationship. But I don't know how they'll play his character for certain. If I have time I'll check it out.
This is a new Same Time, Next Christmas preview that introduces the boyfriend (Bryan Greenburg) of Olivia Henderson (Lea Michelle) and creates an internal conflict.
ABC finally put up a full trailer for "Same Time, Next Christmas" on their official YouTube channel:I just hope this isn't one of these films where they have cheating involved. That's not very romantic... or christmasy. lol.
We'll see this Thursday though. I'll be able to watch it live.

Even though it was tough to follow it turned out to be a really good movie when you finally process it.
I got to see the scenes on Youtube. It looked like Kate Hudson slipped the tongue. A nice scene, just not long enough. Nicely told, though.Wished it was because l saw the movie more than once.

A Rhythm Section comes out at the end of January. Blake Lively and Sterling K. Brown will be a pair in some form, currently unknown how much other than the first trailer's brief interaction.
