Movies with BM/WW Couples

Old news. The movie came out last year. Of course we discussed it in this thread. I still haven't seen yet though.

Maybe you discussed it in another thread, because I did a search in this thread before I posted it and it was only mentioned one time by name and nobody replied to it after.

That's why I posted it.

Synopsis
Nuclear apocalypse survivor Ann Burden(Margot Robbie) ekes out an agrarian life on her family's valley farmstead, sheltered from radioactive contaminants by rocky hillsides, favorable weather patterns, and an abundant ground-fed water supply.

One day Ann encounters fellow survivor John Loomis(Chiwetel Ejiofor), a highly skilled engineer, who, aided by medicines and a radiation suit, has traveled from a distant military bunker to the safe confines of Burden's valley. Loomis bathes in contaminated water, and immediately sickens, but is nursed back to health by Ann, who welcomes him into her farmhouse.

You might be right. Because I think I did create a specific thread for this movie.

I have not read the book, but just saw the movie.

At the end, did he let go and kill Chris Pine character or did he actually leave.

There seemed to be mixed signals on what Chris Pines character was about. He was not a saint but he did not come off as a jerk.

The jealousy seemed to come all from the brothas way.

And it was obvious all 3 of them lied about how they survived.

Idris Elba and Kate Winslet are in talks to star in a 'romantic drama' called The Mountain Between Us. The story is about two strangers who must survive after their plane crashes in the wilderness.

Interesting, they were also in talks to to star in another romantic movie a spy thriller called "All The Old Knives".

I wonder what happened there. Is it still on?

They are a great pair Elba and Winslet. I look forward to that flick soon.

Yep, in.

If we can only get 1 movie, I hope "All the Old Knives" gets greenlit. I'd much rather watch a romatic spy thriller, than a straight-up romantic drama.

Same here. Not because I'm not into romantic dramas(when written right), but if I had to choose I'm taking the romantic spy thriller.

Romantic spy thrillers. I haven't seen any of those since the days when every miniseries was based on a novel by Sydney Sheldon and others. An interracial romantic spy thriller would work if it is played straight.

I'm listening to a black Podcast review of "Ride Along 2" from Movietrailerreviews.net and they mention that Olivia Munn is Ice Cube's Love Interest in the movie.

Don't get your hopes up though. They mention that Ice Cube & Olivia Munn have no chemistry because they never kiss, touch, or hug each other in the movie.

Here's the link if you wanna listen (They discuss Olivia Munn & Ice Cube's chemistry in the movie at the 14:58 mark):

I need Hollywood to quit casting white women to be Ice Cube's love interests in movies. It's complete waste of time.

I just got done watching "Ride Along 2". Yeah this was pretty accurate. Just awkward AF.

That review of Ride Along 2 was pretty much dead on. And I have not seen any of those films. But I agree that Kevin Hart is the weakest link in just about every film he has been in. Soul Plane had every one in the cast, even the extras, were funnier than Hart.

The last film like that I had seen was Bad Boys. I remember feeling more for Martin Lawrence's character than Will Smith's character. I cared about Lawrence's character was a family man and a stand-up cop. I honestly didn't care for Lawrence's comedy because it seemed to run in one speed. A Thin Line Between Love And Hate was a commentary on the film Fatal Attraction.

Black films can be and do better.

A little coming of age IR romance.

loved it that kid is a star in the making. Too bad those comments are so disrespectful. A movie with a black male lead about hip hop that is not cliché, brilliant. Craig Robinson seems awesome in this.
