Just one piece of advice if you are white, you will never win no matter how well intentioned your thoughts are when you mention the N word in any form whether it is used as an example or not. You have to be black to know how it feels like to hear the N word and no matter the context in which it is mentioned it will rankle some feathers.
Omg you are so full of fake outrage its hilarious. There's no out cry over words like bitch, asshole, or motherfucker. The first two synonymous with the" c word"a,, three could be very offensive language. Do you know where the term motherfucker comes from? But for some reason you see the word cunt and its a cause for uproar? The word isn't anywhere near the" n word". People weren't being killed in masses as they screamed the word cunt, they never burned crosses on the front lawns of homes while painting cunt on said homes, there were never any signs that said no cunts allowed. How dare you try to compare the the two. You should be ashamed of yourself. Smdh.
Understood, Appiah. I have tried to be a lady on this forum, and it appalls me that I've been called a racist. I was trying to demonstrate the gravity of the use of two offensive words. Apparently, I am the only one who feels that the words carry similar weight. My intention was never to offend, only to let TDK know I didn't appreciate his attitude and how seriously it affected me. To those who took offense, my apologies.
FYI - she implied that someone else would say that to TDK. She didn't mean it in a literal tense. TDK literally meant to say the "c" word. Hence, you're getting angry over nothing. There's no point conversing with these people. They aren't going to get it. That's why Tarshi posts up that picture just so we could think about something else.
I don't agree with using the C word, but I do agree that I find it rather offensive when a person attempts to relate such a word to the "N" word. It's quite obvious people like that don't get it and don't want to.
