Trayvon Martin's Murder

Adderrall also helps paranoids and high anxiety types 'level out'.
If George needed Adderall to act normal, I wonder what he was like when he wasn't medicated??

I bet he was the type of guy who thought ALL Black men were potential criminals and an unarmed 17 year old was a threat to his life.

Zimmerman got his ass kicked. That's not the same as 'got attacked'. Which still isn't the same as 'almost was killed'.

To convince a jury that in a fight another man represented a life threatening confrontation, that individual either needs to possess a weapon or a have a clear size advantage over the other.

Unfortunately for Zimmerman's supporters, the SYG law at this point favors Trayvon.

Trayvon was aware that Zimmerman was following him for several blocks and saw Zimmerman get out of his SUV and chase after him. Trayvon was defending himself from a stranger with a gun.:smt039

Trayvon fought Zimmerman because he was SCARED, not because he was a thug.
I support and agree with every line. Funny how no one applies the recent break ins in Treyvon's defense. There were recent break ins and a large unknown man starts to follow you at night how would tgat make you feel? I would have been scared out of my mind.
Also funny how Paniro and people of his ilk cant answer one simple question, where are the police photos documenting Zimmermans injuries.

Adderall is a narcotic stimulant for ADD and AADD only. It is NOT for Paranoia nor for Anxiety.

I know people who've been given adderall and lorazepam for anxiety. The flipside is too much adderall can make you 'anxious' and worsen the symptoms it's meant to treat.

It's an amphetamine and regardless if Zimmerman was popping uppers the night he was cruising for perps, I doubt he was in his right frame of mind.

Adderall abuse is also known to make someone OCD and paranoid, like believing EVERY Black person walking through your gated community is a criminal.

The state prosecutors IMO are going to build much of their case around Zimmerman's use of adderall and temazepam to show that he was in a compromised state the night he confronted Trayvon.

Uhm...you absolutely sure 'bout that? No pdoc in their right mind would give a major paranoid speed based anything. And they certainly wouldn't throw a benzo on top to chill out. That would be very bad medicine indeed and if a doctor did do this then they should be sued for medical mal and have their license revoked.

And as a person who has had to take adderal to "act normal"...I kinda find that last statement unnecessarily mean. I might have to take pill to help me calm down every once in a while or another pill so that I don't lose my keys 20 times in 3 mins. BUT-
I would never shoot anyone.
Ever.

According to the Nursing 2012 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Drug book (which shouldn't even be necessary) Adderol has 2 therapeutic uses. It treats Narcolepsy and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I figured this was common knowledge. It's an amphetamine. You do not give amphetamines to treat anxiety or paranoia.

While Adderall is specifically designed for those who have ADD and ADHD, it could also be used for anxiety as well. A lot of drugs have multiple use past the specific designed use. Ask a lot of drug addicts.

With due respect BBW, I would venture to say that her use of adderal is NOT to treat anxiety but to treat most likely a depression with anxiety as a feature. I have anxiety with panic attacks. And other stuff as well that keeps me from not being able to take speed based meds. This rule is bent by the addition of mood stabilizers. That's a catch all med that helps deal with the nasty side effects of some meds that fuck with me because it doesn't treat the main symptoms but an underlying issue. I can't drink 2 cups of coffee without thinking I'm dying. In this lady's case it was probably not anxiety in its true sense (which falls under the OCD tree) but anxiety that's kinda brought on by her depression.

I also doubt Martin knew the guy had a gun until Zimmerman pulled it out and killed him with it. According to his girlfriend Martin knew he was being followed and tried to get away until Zimmerman caught up with him, but she didn't say anything about him knowing he had a gun.

Yes, because I'm sure we shall take the word of one interwebber Gail Darlene, who BEGGED and begged her doctor to give it to her. Put her on the Stand, BBW. SMH.

Exactly. It's a Class A stimulant narcotic. It's locked in Pharmacists vaults. Last thing you'd ever want to give someone diagnosed with Anxiety or Paranoid disorder. People with Narcolepsy are treated with it, also. Alinoa was spot on, too.

Andre, with all due respect, you might know a lot, but on this one pertaining to Adderall, you're so off base, it's pointless to even debate it further.

Bottom line, it's NOT "for the treatment of anxiety or paranoia to level them out and have them act normal", and yes, it could in fact invoke the opposite with abuse - which unfortunately, might work in Zimmerman's favor on the stand if he was over-medicated.

I admit. I was wrong. I read too deep into the whole thing. But I'm not TOO out there regarding that some things do have other reactions, but my guess is that its dependent on the individual's body.

How would Zimmerman abusing adderall work in his favor in this case?:smt102
If he was over-prescribed by a doctor then yes. But if he was crunching bennies like M&Ms, that's all on him.

As for what adderall is prescribed for, do a search on 'adderall', 'treatment' and 'anxiety'. It's not a common treatment for anxiety, but there are doctors who do prescribe it to treat anxiety symptoms.

Oddly, people who abuse adderall sometimes experience withdrawal symptoms and one of them is paranoia. To get that 'normal' feeling, these people often need to take more adderall. It's a vicious circle.

If Zimmerman has a prescription for adderall and is abusing it, which I tend to believe since he also has a prescription for temazepam to help with insomnia, it's not that far fetched to believe he isn't using the drug for it's prescribed therapeutic purpose or in the correct dosages.

EDIT: Most doctors only prescribe aderall for ADHD, however we all know it's one of the most popular and abused prescription meds out there. People aren't crushing and snorting bennies to concentrate at work.

Everything about George Zimmerman screams to me 'paranoid' and 'highly anxious' in regards to the Trayvon Martin shooting.

Knowing he had a prescription for adderall and temazepam just put things into more perspective for me since I would question if he was using his adderall the way in which it was originally prescribed.

I know due to race this is a open and shut case for you.but imagine everyone the same race so your mind is unlocked

You first. You give up a self defense claim when you instigate the circumstances leading up to the crime. I cant follow you to your car where youre buckling your child into the backseat and then shoot you for punching me. I caused the circumstqnces that lewd to the violence. Again answer two questions for me. Why cant it be seen as Treyvon standing his ground after all he was the one being followed home at night in a neighborhood k own for recent criminal activity. Why isnt he given the benefit of being innocent and just defending himself? And why arent there police photos of his alleged injuries. Not some photos captured by some random bystanders but actual pictures collected by the police for evidence.

C'mon Paniro! I'm white and Z is guilty. Not because Martin is black, but because Z took the law into his own hands and that was a mistake. A fatal one. If you poke the bear and the bear pokes back, you get what you deserve.

All of this is totally besides the point. Yes, meds get rx'd as off label all the time. That does not mean its effective as a medication. It just means the doctor has tried everything on label and it doesn't work. Let's throw whatever at them and see what happens. Tah-da! Medicine! Surprise.

Also, when addicted to ice and going through withdrawal you experience paranoia. This does not mean it treats paranoia it simply means a side effect of withdrawal is paranoia.

If he was abusing the meds, the defense could use that in his defense and the fucker could get off with the "the drugs made me do it" defense.

Not if you abuse the drugs
