Amen to that honey! It's not often I get to answer a question such as this, but when I do, I really put my soul into it. Some people can't handle that while others who appreciate the art of writing will find it quite enjoyable to read. But most importantly, this is exactly what I want and basically it is what I've been blessed to experience.

I certainly appreciate the art of writing. Rhetoric is another issue, though.

Women are very good at making flowery lists, we all do it. Bringing those traits together into one super-man would not be overly realistic.

My man is strong, passionate, intelligent and proud. I didn't go out looking for specific qualities though, they found me.

Personally, I think many women spend to long looking at their lists and not at the person or people in front of them. It is good to have high standards but people are more complicated than checklists.

Just for clarity's sake, do you mean someone who is established (job, apartment/house, car, etc) or more along the lines of mental attributes? Or both? Just curious.

It's hard to read all of this stuff when you see what women react to, not what they say they want.

So that's how you like it, huh?

I always knew you were one of them, but never thought you'd be so open about it.

Sure I have certain physical aspects that I prefer, but looking at my X's - they have nothing physically in common.
What they have in common is: Straight shooters, cards on the table kinda guys (with a few fronters as exceptions of course).
Self confident, glass half full, take the bull by the horns kinda guys.
Fiscally responsible and not fickle or flaky, not nitpicky, aloof, argumentative or obsessive - but take no bullshit.

I'm mentally very strong and have a tendency sometimes to go my own way and need someone to challenge me on that at times. Someone that trusts wholeheartedly but don't take bullshit.

I like laid back men off the clock but take charge on the clock. If that makes sense - that is how I am and that is what I want. Everything else falls into place if that mystical chemistry works.

His sense of humor would be key, his intelligence would have to dazzle me, enthuse me, teach me and most of all inspire me. If he is nerdy, he must not be fat with the nerdiness...that is more than I can take.:)

Moreover, he must be able to drop his nerdiness to the floor along with his underwear when he climbs into my bed and groove me in tune while we are both loving each other to Robin Thicke or some Jon B grooves.;) Tip Toe Through The Tulips just won't get it with me. That kind of nerdy would shorten my life span.
