Wait, who's the other guy? A romantic rival?

The premise and previews give no hint of it. Plus her and Charles are the lead characters.

I kinda disagree. When I looked up that Twitter hashtag #SameTimeNextChristmas a week or 2 ago, I saw a bunch of onset pics & video clips with Bryan Greenburg & Lea Michelle. Bryan Greenberg is too recognizable/familiar an actor to not have some type of major role in this TV movie, but since all the previous promos & casting news all promoted Charles Michael Davis & Lea Michelle as the leads, I didn't think nothing of it.

This is the concept of the movie: - https://deadline.com/2019/08/bryan-...ay-movie-same-time-next-christmas-1202664657/

"In the movie, Michele plays Olivia Henderson, a young woman who met her childhood sweetheart, played by Davis, during her family’s annual Christmas visit to Hawaii. After being separated by distance and years, the two reunite at the same Hawaii resort years later and the old chemistry between them flares up anew – but circumstances conspire to keep them apart.

Greenberg will play Gregg Harris, Olivia’s boyfriend, a super fit triathlete, dapper real estate agent who is always angling for the next big deal. He envisions him and Olivia as a super-team in Cincinnati real estate.

Davis is Jeff Cutler, a handsome, affable, charming young man — Olivia’s childhood friend and teenage heartthrob from their annual Christmas trips to Hawaii."

I don't really like when they try to create love stories out of couples that are already happy together, but Bryan Greenburg's character description to Leah's sound like a guy more focused on their careers rather than the relationship. But I don't know how they'll play his character for certain. If I have time I'll check it out.

I am still watching this movie as I type this during a break. I was really intrigued by the trailer which prompted me to jailbreak my 4K Firestick so I could check it out :) :

Haven't got to the ending yet but the casting is curious if they really want us to believe that Sarah Butler's character is a faithful wife . . . that baby should have been cast to look more like Hank Baskett's little boy with Kendra Wilkenson but I don't know how this movie ends yet.

Wow! That looks controversial as hell. Really interesting.

I'm in. Agent Trip from the first 2 seasons of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." & Adrianna from the CW's 90210 reboot series.

This is a new Same Time, Next Christmas preview that introduces the boyfriend (Bryan Greenburg) of Olivia Henderson (Lea Michelle) and creates an internal conflict.

I just hope this isn't one of these films where they have cheating involved. That's not very romantic... or christmasy. lol.

We'll see this Thursday though. I'll be able to watch it live.

Sounds good.

Great trailer. Never heard a version of “In the Pines” sung by a woman which is no surprise since its much about a man’s lament regarding his female lover.

Love the boldness of showing the quick clips of Blake and Sterling getting it on. Such a clip of a black dude, even if the star, getting such action in the trailer with even women of his own race is kinda rare.

This will not be the first time that Sterling K. Brown has smashed a white woman. He smashed Kate Hudson in the movie Marshall.

The guy is also in a movie called "The World We Make" and has a White love interest as well.

I saw it, it was a little cheesy with all of the same tired IR troupes with BM/WW..ie.. the nosey ass black chick who thinks she owns ALL Black Men and gets to dictate to him and his White Girlfriend who he dates, you know like the..."White Women are stealing all of our Men" BULLSHIT rhetoric !

YES...she actually says that in the movie.

His father, who is over the top with his disapproval of their relationship, and of course everyone is constantly gawking at them and being attacked by butthurt White boys.

They tried way to hard to put these so-called insurmountable hurdles in front of them to keep them from being together.

We all know that in 2019 no one is publicly up in your face like that when a Black Man is out with his White Girlfriend/Wife, they run home and become the BUTTHURT keyboard warriors on social media and do it.

But SPOILER ALERT, it did have a HAPPY ENDING...for a change...so it's worth watching.

I don't think that's Paul James.

The guy who plays Lee's boyfriend in the film is Caleb Castille.

I seen this movie it was pretty good. It got a lot of heat unfortunately because it DARED tackled the troubles IR couples go through. Some of the comments on youtube made it seem like the hate IR couples receive are not real, delusions made up by hollywood. People on twitter both black and white were also calling it IR propaganda. This movie hit a nerve with folks.

Just goes to show the people out there that still have a disdain for IR(especially between black men and white women) be trying to justify it by calling it hollywood propaganda and delusions made up by IR couples. Smh.

I'm finally watching "The World We Make" right now. I'm 43 minutes in & OMG this movie comes off as an afterschool special. It's heavy-handed & cringeworty, LOL. I groaned & chuckled when the female lead was telling her friend that dude she was going out with is "African-American" instead of just saying "black".

EDIT:

mjlol.png
@Tsharp99 They really got an attractive biracial chick with natural long curly hair to play the angry black chick that whines about the black male lead dating a white chick. HORRIBLE CASTING!!! I don't even believe her when she says she has limited dating options. A chick like this normally has NO PROBLEMS getting attention from niggas.

Actually not. I have seen and heard some of those beautiful lightskinned and mixed models talk down on IR between black men and white women. I can't remember the one's name whom I have specifically seen said that in a tweet, but remember it has nothing to do with them not being able to get a man. That's a front. It's this indoctrinated thinking that has been instilled in them from other black women that think like that and teaches them that black men that date outside their race hates black women and white women can't be trusted. Once a mixed race girl is accepted as "black-black" they have that put in their heads.

There are white people that do prefer to say African American instead of black so it's not that far from believing. lol.
