Like I said before that is the way you interpreted it. Nothing wrong or right about it(like my own view about it which is not the way you explained it excluding the investing money to keep the relationship going part).

Keep it simple. When someone gives me an excessive gift too early I start to wonder if they are desperate and using gifts to sweeten things up. Give something meaningful or heartfelt. You can't go wrong there with a woman.

Good luck in your new relationship btw.

Too bad the DMV isn't always that enjoyable Jordan! But at least you had fun, and it's always nice when something goes better than expected.

    Ahh yes it is.

They asked if I wanted a new ID and I said ummm sure. Since my last was after a bad cut why not replace. Even the picture guy was in a good mood. He said smile and I said oh wait hold on and I pulled my hair to the front of my shoulders and smoothed in down on my jacket. He said we are supposed to make you put long hair behind your back. So I leaned towards him and said I don't really want to. He looked around and said Ok. :p . So I guess he broke rank and let me have my hair way too. Score. Not that it will be a good pic anyhoo, this is the DMV......but I try.

If it feels right, go for it. I gave my man extravagant gifts early on such as an expensive watch, an ipod, etc.. I did what felt right for me not for my neighbour.

I'd buy her house if I could lol. I know it sounds weird but its amazing when you find someone who gets you and the chemistry is off the hook. I guess life has some positive surprises after all lol.

    Good luck to you, Andrae!

I'll keep my thoughts on the other thing to myself. LOL. I'm not in the situation, so whatever I would say is irrelevant.

Remember that whole flu shot thing from a couple of weeks back? My coworkers had tried to bribe me into getting a flu shot and I was having none of it. I said, I get colds, the flu shot doesn't do anything for colds.

Anyway, at one point I told my coworker, I know i just jinxed myself.

What do you know, last night, I started to get a stomach ache and today, I took a 1/2 off of work and slept for 4 hours. I have a very slight fever and I haven't eaten anything all day. DAMMIT!! LOL. :smt009

I wouldnt say that its weird, I'd say most people in the beginning of a relationship have those feelings of "omg we click so well" or "we get each other" etc. Just take it slow and for what it is and it should be all good. I wish you the best my friend.

That euphoric feeling is actually for real. I read a book written by a psychologist and she explained it. See this post I wrote about the book in the book thread. Basically it said that MRI of the brains of people in the early stages of love and insane people are similar. Andrae may go soft on us. :p Only in the love region of the brain Andrae.

:( I almost never get that feeling, everyone is pretty much take it or leave it with me. Only once have I felt a connection, and been really drawn to someone right off the bat.

I read in a article awhile back about this same thing.

Most people I know experience the "we know and understand each other" feeling in the beginning of a relationship. Then after awhile of really getting to know the person the feeling subsides (not necessarily in a bad way more or so in a Im coming down from my happy/love buzz and becoming love sober so to speak and looking at the relationship from more of a realistic approach vs the idealistic approach that you started it off with). I usually experience the Omg this is the one feeling, but I'm trying to train myself to just take it for what it is.

I tend to get that feeling after I've known someone for some time, I guess with me it grows the more familiar I become with someone. I think I'm an acquired taste. But then some people just never get me, and that's real apparent, and pretty common with me. I get the confused, deer in the headlight look from people quite often, at this point I'm kinda shocked anytime someone does appear to understand me. :smt042

Yeah I'm hoping to come down soon. This shit is a little annoying. I'm beginning to notice love songs more frequently. Its uber gay lol. But you're right about the insanity thing. I wonder why that is.
