I'm not fat but I got curve with some booty and chest..and well, quite frankly, the number of white Aussie guys who approach me just don't rate compared to the amount of black guys. Go figure! (literally, hah hah).

I think it's also the Eastern European things, guys from Africa assume I wasn't born in Australia (though I was, my parents weren't) based on my appearance and I think sometimes assume I am more understanding of their situation (which I try my best to be anyway).

I've been in a relationship for more than 3 years with a man and it only seems to have increased since then, seems some less savoury guys wanna assume I'm the woman who will get with anyone so long as he's black :? Which I'm definately not, no way.

Or is it just because they have seen me with my man and no I won't front racism? I don't know...annnnyway off topic !

    OH BROTHER!

and what's the african population in australia, like .0007% percent, so i imagined you must have a growing herd of grunting, sweaty african bushmen around you 24-7.

poor baby. I mean, poor AFRICAN. probably trying to keep cool in a 99% NON-BLACK (NOT ABORIGINE) country, when all a sudden he come up by some self-conscious white girl who think ALL BLACK MEN want her because she think she got those curves...

For all we know, you could be like Roseanne Barr, LOL, that's a woman with a BIG BACKSIDE and BIG CHEST...

Look, I was just being honest about my situation. I wasn't trying to sound arrogant, and I realise it may have sounded that way. Attraction, the mating game, it's all part of life, and you do discover after a while who gravitates towards you and who you move towards. I don't even imply in the post that I enjoy the attention when it sometimes happens (and by all means not all the time) . I didn't say it even happens that much.

I said when a man does approach me, he is MORE LIKELY to be black than white. That does not MEAN that every guy is hitting on me left right and centre, DAMN!!
Ok, I talk about some guys being less savoury, but it happens. I certainly wasn't singling out black men, there are all kinds of guys like that! I guess in my town, there is a core group of white girls who have slept with huge amounts of black international students, heaps and heaps of them. And I think sometimes men see you with someone and assume you are the same. I don't crave the interaction as if its a novelty 'novelty', I find that attitude sad and have seen it hurt some of my male friends very badly when the girls get bored, or he doesn't fit a stereotype. It leads to lovely, quiet very nice guys being overlooked!

I live in an area with a high African population (near uni), though yes you are right our Permanent Residency rate os very low, though they are the most rapidly increasing migrant group.

All I was trying to imply is that my appearance is more likely to be appreciated by guys from other places, it has always been that way. Even when I visit other cities of Australia, my town has a strong beach culture, which I don't really identify with, so that also has something to do with it. I sure as hell ain't fat but I don't go for the bleached blonde heaps of fake tan etc.

For the record, though I don't need to justify myself to you, I'm not like Roseanna Barr, I'm 168cm ( 5.5 for you Yanks) and 64kgs (141 pounds), with an E cup chest, but anyway...

    PHEW!!!

Ok, I've said enough now- it's been a bad day. But I think to react so rough I musn't have made my post clear enough, 'cos I don't think there is much wrong with what I am feeling.

btw, not sure what you were implying with the 'African bushmen' thing- if you think that I think that way and in those stereotypes, which I sure as hell don't, or you do, in which case that's kindov nasty!

Maybe Sengo just misunderstood you, but the tone in your post did seem a bit self-absorbed. I don't think you meant for to be though.

Heh yeah..even my reply is pretty vicious but it was one of those days :p don't believe in going back though I like them to reflect the moment.

YOur right, it did sound a little that way, and no- I didn't mean it ti be at all!

Certainly DO NOT tink I'm God's gift to every black man who walks the earth, hah hah.

Btw, mypartner and black friends are all African bar a couple which does not make a huge diff but can subtly alter the way some of the rituals work I think.

I understood her completely.... and only a BIT self-asborbed, you thinks? LOL. At least she spent 3 whole paragraphs in to back track what she first said.

And just maybe, maybe those black guys supposedly hitting on her simply has to do with them see her hanging out with a bunch of black guys, and not the fact she thinks she has a shape or whatever and more black guys like that than white.

Okay sengo, I'm kinda resenting your tone but maybe we have to agree to disagree.

I wasn't backtracking, I was just trying to explain it more clearly. I am not naive enough to think there are a stack of black guys interested in me, or that no guy will ever be interested in me.

I definately resent the 'hanging around with a bunch of black guys' comment- implying I am there posing waiting for them to come to me!! I have been with my partner for four years, and even not, that ain't my style. I guess there is something you don't know herethat is making my reaction so strong, which is that there are women in my town who DO act like that (and sleep with every one of them!) and sometimes people see me in my relationship and assume I am the same

They might be who my neighbours are but that is just because of where I live..

    Hhhmmm anyway.

Yeah, I hear you leksie, you didn't sound arrogant to me! If you live in an area with a lot of black men, and you get attention from them, what is arrogant about that? I'm the same...sometimes it's kind of nice but mostly embarrassing, as if you give off the wrong message they will approach you, and then you feel like a harlot, having a boyfriend at home!

I identify with what you're saying also leksi. I don't think you sounded arrogant at all... probably because I have experienced similar situations. Some ppl can get a little sensitive here it seems!

Well, like I said, I don't think you meant to imply what Sengo thinks, and you already admitted that there are women in your town who are like this, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are, regardless of how many black men you hang around.

I just think he misunderstands what you're saying. Obviously, it's a touchy subject to him, but to clarify, I never said that you were 'arrogant', nor believe that you are. I only said that the wording in your posts came off a bit self-absorbed, and that I don't think you meant for it to.

    LOL

She said it herself -- she hang out blacks and she's even dating one, so what the hell do she even expect when a bunch of africans start talks to her? She can keep acting like black guys don't see who other black guys talk with and go out with, especially where they make up .01% of the population.

MAN, I once had this friend, skinny white kid, he attended a school with less than 5% black population. He said quite a number of the black girls were on him, and wouldn't leave him alone.

But ask him was it always that way? HELL NO. NONE of the black girls were talking to him.... it was until just ONE black girl started talking to him and even went on a date with him. Then more black girl started smiling and saying hi and asking him how he's doing.

Is it because of his appearance? Or because he has some special understanding to black women? HELL NO...

that one black girl who dated him and talked with him made the REST CURIOUS.....And it just turned out he was a pretty cool dude.

And what about the white girls on the campus... well fewer white girls were interested in him, for whatever reasons.... maybe they were busy chasing after black guys to notice him.

But at least he wasn't some arrogant ass who thought that white skin or "a special understanding of black women" worked some kind of magic on black girls....

    SO GIMME A BREAK

Well Sengo fair enough, you're entitled to your own opinion, but I don't think that can be true all the time...almost any time i make an effort to look nice and step on a bus, or go into a bar/club with black men in, someone will come up and talk to me! And these are random strangers, how are they supposed to know that I have a black boyfriend, or other black exes? Perhaps it's that I do look aslant at them myself but in a subtle way, and often men I haven't even noticed come up and talk to me. I'm not trying to sound arrogant because tbh i get nothing like the same attention from white guys, although some attention, but this has been the case since I was 16 or 17 years old, and what is more, most of the guys say they like the same thing - my hair and my ass!

well it doesn't sound like arrogance, sounds like a complex....

HELL, a lot of black guys might go for a white woman who says black men hit on me all the time, or more black men approach me than white, blah, blah, blah, but hopefully a few brother will come to their sense and want a WOMAN who sees a MAN,

not a BLACK MAN who has to somehow prove himself to be different from the "others" who she thinks just want her for whatever she think she has.

I really have no idea what you're going on about, mate, I see what is the fact: which is that I have more black men approaching me than white, despite giving off the same signals (presumably) to any man I see. If you want to call that arrogance, racism, a complex or any other thing than feel free, but I'm a one man woman so it's not as if I'm getting off upon having different men around me.

DAMN sengo, did you even read my post!!!!

I DID actually say that I recognise that more unscrupulous guys "WILL notice who you hang out with and approach you on that basis" did you even read what I have written?" After that I went on to say that it might be becase they think you will be easy, hahaha, or are just more comfortable with the approach because they know you are not racist.

So I wasn't pretending at all that people don't notice who you hang out with....

But I resent you implying that I hang around certain people in ORDER so that occurs.

But I don't think that is the case all the time, because even when I travel, any bits and pieces of male attention I get (and like I said, I'm not saying it happens all the time, but if I do get the odd random chat or ask to dance or whatever) is less likely to be from a caucasian man. I'm not being arrogant, I don't think all black men want me, but I'm not self concious or self-hating enough to think no guy will EVER approach me!

Thanks for the support gals, might have to leave this one with sengo 'cos he clearly is not even reading what I write...

On the flip side to that, I don't generally find myself attracted to black men who have rejected black women totally. I find it much healthier and more comforting to be with a man who can appreciate beauty in all women (though he may have a preference) and hasn't come to white women because of a negative attitude towards BW. So I too want a man who sees a woman, not a white woman- or who won't automatically have a negative attitude to the same women who represent his mother, sister, grandmother. I would prefer a man who just happens to find you attractive, and would still lay down with a black woman if he was single, than one who is on a hunt for a ww.

Okay, that is really upsetting for me. Because in my posts I have quite clearly said that there are SOME women in Newcastle who do see a "black man" only. And that that UPSETS me because some of my friends have been hurt by women who expect them to fit a certain stereotype.

I have been with my man over four years, yes he is African and I recognise that as an important part of his identity- in terms of his history, his culture and his perspective on the world. But I don't just see a BLACK MAN I see somebody who I love, and the reason I am angry about your posts is you are implying I am one of those hos who just want any guy with black d***.
