I guess if society is crumbling, who's got time for that skin color BS lol???What I find impressive is that black people love Bird Box and seem to throwing Sandra Bullock zero shade. Everyone seems cool with it.
You can't generalize white women. Specific white women have been pointed out and specific white women have been praised.
And why put quotations around evolve? People do evolve, change. Very few people stay the same people they were years ago or whatever.
She could've very well changed. We honestly don't know I have never heard of Sandra Bullock being such thing.
But she could have been and CHANGED her life and perspective. Because it happens, people do grow. Humans do make changes in their life. People do that.
Sure. People also spout paranoid, baseless, exaggerated drivel that have no connection to truth and zero evidence to back it up; just because they FEEL that's what going on. The burden of proof fell on those who claimed Bullock was an IR dodger and of course they couldn't deliver such a thing but held on to their suspicions and accusations. Even if Bullock had changed some sort of prejudicial attitude or career protectionism she was holding onto (I doubt it) she at least have the benefit of never being dumb enough to make such a claim publicly in the first place (like that lead chick of Grey's Anatomy somewhat did). But there were a handful of folks here who jumped that gun and, IMO, were dumb enough to charge her with racism. They look even more foolish in retrospect.
LOL! People are wildin' over Bird Box. These are the funniest ones I seen yet!

I just watched Bumblebee. Liked it WAY better than any of the Bay movies. There's a whiff of ir romance, one-sided at least. Do not see this movie for that reason alone.
They actually make the black guy come off as pretty weak. He actually makes an excuse so he can skip the final big battle. I've never seen that from a "good guy" in an action movie. Pathetic.
The object of his affection gives him one kiss on the cheek (which she specifically points out is *only* a kiss on the cheek) and vocally refuses to hold his hand at the end. Pathetic.
I get that they wanted to make a big point about women being heroes in their own right and not needing to be the "prize" at the end of the movie. But it was hard to watch. Truly.
Actually, the real romance was between the girl and the car.
Lol thanks for the tipIf you want to see Hailee Steinfeld in a much less one-sided IRGo see Spiderman Into the Spiderverse one of the best animated films of all time superhero or not and the IR is not one sided and the black kid is not made out to be weak or pathetic by any means. Plus if you go support you help speed up the sequel which will reportedly focus on their romance.

LOL. Go listen to Tariq Nasheed's review of "Bird Box" if you wanna laugh at a hating-ass hotep conspiracy theory review. I pressed play & the 1st thing I hear is calling dude a "Plantation buck".
I'm sorry , but what secret "knowledge" does Tariq have about racism that the rest of us dont?..LOLTariq although he has knowledge about racism that most don't have it has also left him unfortunately paranoid to the point it screws with his line of thinking and sense of humanity at times. There are horror movies out there where black peopleand the white guys are in the role he is complaining about. But I haven't really seen him talk about movies like 0verlord, The First Purge, Slice, and The Cloverfield Paradox which featured a black couplemake it to the end.living all the way towards the end while the white people played the sacrificial hero.
But something tells me if those movies were as big as Bird Box he would've found something to complain about. He has complained about movies where white people save the black people. I think he only wants to see black people saving black people for black people. He at times have this segregated thinking when it comes to race. Which I don't understand since he WANTS to live in a racially mixed country. I don't see him and others that always talk about black people being on their own going to a black country. They want white folks to give them their own America. Which says a lot for people that are so pro-black but yet they don't want to be in a mostly or all black country. LOL!
I value some of his knowledge, but Tariq has let racism destroy his sense of compassion and humanity. I truly believe that Tariq wouldn't put his life on the line to save children from being killed if they were white kids.
I'm actually not sure it has anything to do with his being black. I feel like they wanted to make their point, and adding a black character was just the diversity two-fer. I believe they would have done a white guy the exact same in that situation. That's that feminist spin on things that we have to be aware of when we see black men in movies and TV shows.

This Mofo spent 51 minutes doing a so- called "review" of this movie. He couldn't tell the difference between an Airport and a Hospital because he was so busy trying to find "White Supremacy subliminal messages.
He's so far gone that he sees White Superamcy in a box of Cheerios.
He's just another in the long line of Pro Wack, Hotep White Supremacy spouting CLOWNS who get their panties in a bunch when they see Black Men with White Women in real live or the movies.
Tariq and others like him are just a SAD SACK OF SHITTY PEOPLE!!

I was disappointed too. Homes was made a gelding. Not since A Long Kiss Goodnight had l seen a brother like that.I just watched Bumblebee. Liked it WAY better than any of the Bay movies. There's a whiff of ir romance, one-sided at least. Do not see this movie for that reason alone.

I don't agree with this statement. At all.Feminism is inherently racist.
Since virtually everything in this country is tainted by racism, feminism certainly perpetrates its share. But I tend to think that most of the time these days it's more ignorant prejudice than active "supremacy."More so in this country. It has a racist history and some of these feminist out here is about getting a piece of power and they don't see black men nor want black men above white women. Yes, they would've probably done the same thing if he was white but it would be out of anger with the white patriarchy for the treatment of white women, whereas with a black man it would be out of not wanting to see a black man on a strong white woman's level therefore they would want a black man portrayed in the image they see us as.
I don't agree with this statement. At all.
But that's probably a discussion for a different thread.

In this instance, I don't see any reason to believe a feminist race agenda played a part in this character's portrayal. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt on that, though I do believe the dude was simp af.

This article also Includes more of these feminist icons and their feelings on black men that these modern feminist still look up to this day.
In upstate N.Y. there is a statue of Anthony and Frederick Douglas having tea.
Harsh words were exchanged over the 14th amendment, which extended the rights of citizenship to black males but made no mention of women. Anthony, ever the absolutist, was incensed. “I will cut off this right arm of mine before I will ever work for or demand the ballot for the Negro and not for the woman,” she declared.
Stanton and Anthony angrily urged that the amendment be defeated altogether, resorting to vile language and racist tropes. Anthony, for example, warned that “horrible outrages” would be perpetrated on white women should black men get the vote. Stanton denigrated both immigrants and blacks: “Think of Patrick and Sambo, and Hans and Yung Tung,” she declared, “who do not know the difference between a monarchy and a republic, never read the Declaration of Independence or Webster’s spelling book, making laws” for women of education and refinement.
