On a serious note. Either city would be good for a job in marketing/advertising. I used to take a acting class with with this hot lil blonde, and she had a successful marketing/advertising career out here in the chi. If you come to Chicago, atleast you wont be as far away from your fam. Chicago aint shit but a mini Nyc, but both places are great.
Looking damn good there Steph, enjoyed the group chat last nite good to see your posting now, welcome to our craziness.
Your experiences mirror those that the WW I have dated. I dated a younger WW through the encouragement of some mutual friends. When we started to date she wanted to show me off to all of her friends. She would tell everybody about me, even strangers. We lived in the same small town and we knew a lot of the same people. So, she was shocked that many of the white people that spoke highly of me as a person before we started seeing each other, attacked her for dating me. Her family was openly racist, but she thought that most other people did not have the same feelings. She began to see that many people accept black men on certain levels but, when it comes to sex, marriage, and bi-racial children all of the sudden everyone has an opinion and it was often negative. I have posted before of my admiration for WW who have the commitment and strength to fight for their right to love BM or whomever they please. In a society that still wants to limit and control BM (even Pres. Obama takes more shit than a bellhop!) it is pleasing to be accepted completely, without limitations by so many beautiful women.
I've noticed that a lot of nonblack "men" seem to find bm a threat not just in dating ww but in all kinds of situations. All the hating going on makes no damn sense. The fool in this video makes no sense either! Amen. I've gotten a lot of grief for my choice to date bm, and a lot of people do treat it like I have some kind of disease! It's like I've been infected with black cooties or something! I still get called n-lover on a regular basis where I live; of course most of the time it's not to my face. I agree that it takes a strong woman (& man) to have the guts to be happy. I refuse to let the comments & views of these small minded fools to overshadow anything for me. It gets old but it doesn't phase me anymore! And as far as the low self-esteem assessment goes, I believe that only a person with a strong sense of self would have the confidence to date/marry interracially if they so choose. We also love, respect & appreciate the beautiful, strong black men who are willing to put themselves out there to love us! It's so tiresome to be constantly analyzed and told how to fix what these people see as a flawed way of life. It seems that not a day goes by without people demanding an explanation that no one owes them. That's what real women do! If someone (man or woman) is unwilling to fight for the person he/she claims to love, that love is not real. That's what bothers me most about people that date IR (or otherwise) for the wrong reasons. I used to have a friend who dated bm for every reason but love. She liked the attention she got because she did it for the novelty & shock value it had. She thrived on the stereotypes and the negative attention, and it made me sick! I'm sure we've all known people like this. It's just another issue that makes things tougher for those of us who are serious.
With emphasis on the epithet FOOL!!!! :smt023 Amen to *that!!* That so-called "friend" of yours....casts more aspersions towards IRRs than the detractors that openly/inentionallly/blatantly ad infinitum do such actions towards same... In one word, your alleged "friend": FUBAR!!!!! And as for all else expounded upon by all.... Well said!!!! 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
I agree because we have to deal with enough negativity as it is without dealing with toxic people in our midst! Please note: As I said about the previously mentioned skank, she used to be my friend , as in not any more, since I learned how full of shit she was!
So true..... Still & all, always remember... That which does not kill us...makes us stronger... And this also includes detractors and adversaries, as well... Past tense, good. Just remember the words of "IF YOU WANT THE SUN TO SHINE" by The SMITHEREENS: When You Pass Me On The Street, I'll Look The Other Way! 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK

Do I feel guilty for liking white women, not at all, but am I guilty of liking white women, hell 2 the fuck yes. Seriously, how can you not like white women...they are beautiful.
Feeling guilty about liking WW is like feeling guilty for being a man, you are supposed to like beautiful women and with so many beautiful WW in the world you are going to like them by default, you don't have a choice. But if you insist on feeling guilty, don't worry there is an army of Brothas like me who will not deny ourselves.
And to *that* we *all* opine: :smt038:smt038:smt038:smt026:smt026:smt026SQUARED!!!!! 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
