We're not the ones with that issue, Drae. You're the one who thinks your view is what the majority of women's reality is, & you're way off base. Yeah, there are some who think that way, but it's definitely not most. I don't care how many articles or "studies" you use as your proof, you are not in any position to tell women what women think or believe, & you need to quit arguing with us & discounting our experiences because they don't fit your warped sense of reality.

Thank you, Tam, for putting it so well.

All true & all very sad. It definitely applies to several folks around here.

It's sad when folks do this shit to themselves. They miss out on life itself by being focused on shit that doesn't matter. Life is not about always being "right", but it's about learning & growing. That does require self-evaluation, which is important & necessary to reach the potential we all have within us.

A wise woman once said to me "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?"

I agree Tarshi....I have seen him do it a few times. :)

I saw the word "I have seen him do it a few times" and my mind went straight to a charging skype call where your screen go black after a few minutes of fanny loving himself and you have to enter in your credit card details to view more of him

So glad you're back from the mini vacation cha cha. Love your peace, love and mung beans approach to life:smt007

I didn't say 'never' did I? LOL
Course he does, on occasion.

Lol...of course. Was wanting to give our fanbox a little support and yours was easiest to respond to as it was the shortest. Can't respond to long posts on my phone.

Oh....love you to pieces my beautiful wife :smt050

Awwww thanks Tarshi. Peace love and mung beans are to way to go!

And you are a perv woman! There have been no late night Skype wank sessions.....yet ;)

If there are any late night skype sessions, let me know

From reading the posts, I think I've noticed that in America, wealth correlates with social class. I think Bookworm is right about the guys who are wealthy but have bad attitudes. To a degree, I think that is true. However, I think we should approach the subject of wealth with a non-partisan approach for a best result. 15% of Americans (45.8 million of them) have to rely on government assistance of food stamps. This is just so they could get a meal to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our country (the middle class) is getting poorer, and that doesn't necessarily mean that things (in terms of wealth) are getting better for us. It is getting worse. This reasoning for why it happens has to do with politics and taxes, something I don't think I should get into. Obama is taking a pounding politically, and his job approval has dropped to 38% with 55% of Americans upset at the current conditions of the country. Next year is going to be a very pessimistic and emotionally taxing year on Americans and perhaps Europeans.

Also to an extent, this affects our IR, because BW can complain that BM who are with WW/women of other races are motivated to do so because of the perception that BW are money hungry/power hungry. Wealth is at least one reason why some BW give BM dirty looks out in public when they're with a girl of a different culture.

My opinion of money is that I don't need to be rich, nor be poor, but make an amount of money that sustains a comfortable living and allows a real-world opportunity to see people and not live as if I'm in a position where I'm really struggling to make basic ends meet, like barely being able to pay for food and preventing your home from getting foreclosed.

Is there a way to search the phrase" fair enough" because I really think i'm painted a little unfairly. Do I stand by position firmly and announce it often? Sure do but I really bow out when someone makes a point. You people only see what you want to see. Other men have expressed the same thing I've said on this board just not as often so why aren't they misguided why aren't they called out. I know a lot of you aren't attracted by wealth but to act like its some weird isolated incident that happens amongst shallow gold diggers is inaccurate but we'll agree to disagree.
Not that is pure comedy my friend - I think you are one of the last ones on the forum to do so. Many many here do, you dont in general. You are the most stubborn on here when it comes to discussions and being right.
I love ya, but nope that statement if so untrue.

Tam how many women have you actually dated? How many have you pursued? So who's in a better position to say what women want or at least what they're generally attracte

Thanks, Karma...love you, too. :smt058

Folks do need to take the whole victim mentality & cram it where the sun doesn't shine.

Well put, Ra-Ra...this definitely needed to be said. I've seen it a lot around here & it's enough to make a person want to vomit. It's more of that victim mentality of wanting to blame everything that happens their world on everyone & everything else & refusing to take responsibility for their own lives & happiness. Yeah, sometimes things may not be the way we want them to be & sometimes shit happens, BUT we have control over how we respond to it. We should appreciate what we've been blessed with & that includes being blessed with the ability to make improvements to our lives & to the world around us.

Amen.

Fuck those idiots. They wouldn't know a real woman if she walked up & bit them on the ass.

Wealth is NOT attractive because wealth has NOTHING to do with who a man is or what he's about as a person. I have NEVER been impressed by a man's wealth, & I never will be.

For most women it's the man himself & not his money or possessions that appeal to us. The ones who are turned on by the money & not the man are just whores looking for a good pay day, & why any man would want to appeal to that type of woman makes absolutely no sense to me.

We're not the ones with that issue, Drae. You're the one who thinks your view is what the majority of women's reality is, & you're way off base. Yeah, there are some who think that way, but it's definitely not most. Mikey, if you spend your life worrying about the "backup plan" with potential dates, you're doomed.

Life happens. Shit happens. I sure didn't intend to get Multiple Sclerosis and end up not being able to continue to work in my career at 52, I can tell you that. And I seriously doubt any man I've ever dated thought "But what if she gets MS in 20 years and can't work full time?"

Shit happens. You deal with it. When a guy I was dating years ago lost his job (He was a free lancer, and the contract was canceled) and couldnt immediately find another one, I let him move in with me. He was back working in a month.

You cannot cover every contingency life might throw at you when you look around the club checking out potential dating material.
True. But I was thinking about this more-so through a financial perspective and not really a dating/relationship perspective.

I was browsing on the hater site I like to whine about's financial section and found a good thread about income inequality between blacks and whites. I think a lot of these issues with regards to the financial hierarchy and power structure in this country are caused by the white Republicans in Congress.

Here's the thread I was talking about. Take a look:

You think we don't talk to each other? :smt043:smt043:smt043
I think Andrae made a typo, he probably meant to say "men" not "women". Andrae, I'm lending you some help, fam.

Sometimes I really wish I cared more about how much money potential mates make, because maybe then I wouldn't have spent the last four years living on ramen and working stupid jobs just to make rent.

It's impressive to me if a man (or woman) has the ability to be self sustaining at a young age...I had so much respect for this 25 year old I went out with (when I was 23 I think) who had his shit together, a decent job, a car of his own, and his own apartment, and he did it himself, no help from parents. Sadly, his personality was severely lacking and it never went past the second date...I WISH I cared about money that much, because he liked me a LOT, and I probably could've been with him for a long time and had him paying my loan payments by now.

Sadly, I'm more concerned with taking care of -myself-, and working towards providing for myself AND my boyfriend...not that he doesn't contribute, but honestly, if I could just let him take a break and take care of the money for a while I would. He deserves it. Because even though he's not rich I have never felt so fulfilled and happy in a relationship. Even when we're broke and we have to pull out some kitchen magic just to get dinner, I would prefer that than to have a cold, silent, gourmet dinner with a piece of shit guy who treats me like crap because his wallet makes him feel like his shit doesn't stink.

I hate not having money, but I have never been willing to sacrifice my dignity for it, and I would never sacrifice my happiness for it. Money doesn't make happiness, it comes from within. It comes from that place a lot of people don't even know how to find, that pit deep in your stomach where pain likes to stay.

But when you learn how to love yourself and just allow yourself to be happy, it melts away. And no amount of money can ever do that, only a strong will and an open mind can get you there.

Oh, and btw, just as an FYI, I'm the kinda person who'll say "go fuck yourself" if I want to be hostile, Andrae. If I'm using all those fancy big words chances are you're adding more emotion than actually intended. So, seeing as how I'm a little buzzed and give even less of a shit, we can just pretend I pulled one of your numbers and threw out a conveniently insulting statement about your reading comprehension levels here...but we'll pretend it's not insulting, since you don't insult anyone so therefore it must be perfectly tactful and polite to make such a statement. lmfao.

You're still mildly entertaining...though really, just for a good laugh. I was reading some of your posts to some chicks at work and we almost literally rofl'd. So thanks for the good time, I guess! I'd say keep it up but it's not funny after a while, it just gets sad.

Strike one P. I respectfully tried to decline speaking to you. If you don't lik me or what I have to say just put me on ignore kid. Its simple.

Strike one? Fuck you, I have zero respect for you so I don't give a rat's ass how you feel about me. lmao You're just a delusional dude on the other side of the country. And ignore works both ways, sweetie. ;)

I'll say what the fuck I want to say just as you do, so deal with it. It's simple.

and actually, "respectfully" don't got nothing to do with the way you talk to me lol
