Sardonic, I dont need to point out where was it that you called people names, just read your own post. Everyone who's posting on this site seems to be either neurotic, joker, or whatever.
I can make uo my mind about it and I think I have explained over and over again what my principles are.
I also explained why the topic annoyed me, and it was good that I posted and asked for clarifications cause otherwise I would have thought BM only date non-BW because BW have wrong criterias, not because they would date them anyway.
Now shut upppppppppp :p .....lol.......talk all u want, Im done with this topic anyway, I got what I wanted, which was trying to understand.

I thought that you were done with this topic, but I guess not...

and, I don't need you to explain yourself again and again, especially after you claimed that you don't feel the need to, after I posted my response, which you took personally (as if it only applied to you) and I never said that you couldn't post what you wanted to on the site. What I posted, once again was to emphasize how these kind of discussions lead to threads getting locked and these forums being trolled over and over again, but you interpreted it how you wanted to because you misunderstood it, and using a lot of sarcasm isn't the same thing as name-calling, like you believe it is. If I wanted to name-call you directly, then I would've posted my response directly to you and did it, so there isn't any need for you to keep explaining yourself to me about what you meant before.

    Seychelles, you are so right!!!!!!!
Let's change the subject.......this bickering back and forth IS getting old and besides, this site is all about BM and WW anyway, so there is no reason to include BW in any way, shape, or form.

So what is everyone on here do for a living, or what is your hobby Seychelles, and all the other pretty girls on here? 8)

There isn't any point in mentioning black women on a site intended for black men and white women anyways...

also, I'm self-employed. I am currently in the process of starting a non-profit organization also.

    Good choice.
I'm an expert in European integration, meaning mostly European Union's law, economics, rights for the citizens, its a very large area. I have enough of it at work, dont feel to talk about it here.
I like eating lol.........I love eating, cooking, shopping, chatting, going out, travelling, computers, movies, books, swimming, latin american dancing, music as in reggae, yes, also some hip hop lol, RnB, reggaeton, playing chess, backgammon......watching footbal when Romania plays......there are few things I'm not interested in.

Id love to know more about the people on this site also, in terms of their interests and what they are like as persons. Thats refreshing !

Wow Seychelles, that seems very interesting :D

    O.K. well here goes..........

I just had an interview last week and, hopefully, I will be leaving my 40 hour a week job in an office cubicle to make video game simulators for the military. I am a freelance digital artist (when I am not in my cubicle). I serve clients and specialize in creative services related to the following:

    1. graphic design (making logos, shirts, illustrations, business cards, brochures, etc.)

    2. web and flash design (making full blown HTML or Flash websites as well as the UI for them. Also making flash animations for the web)

    3. 3D design and animation (Making realistic 3D designs and animations. This skill of my is still in its infant stages, but improving daily )

Sort of a jack of all creative trades, but master of none

I like computers, working out (got to keep my body tight 8) ), God and spiritual persuits, eating pizza, books, salsa, chess, some rock music (Ex: linkin park), jazz, R&B (the non-depressing R&B just to clarify), and.............

God forgive me.......I LOVE WOMEN :smt060

So that is me in a nutshell...........

Looooool.....love men also. Only one at a time though.

You sound really interesting...thought of making a masters degree in computers too.
I'm interested in spiritual pursuits too. What did u think of DaVinci's Code, heard it caught well on the American public?
I find working out to quickly turning into routine, for me at least, so I preffer dancing. Still Im thankfull to this day that I worked out my arms because it still shows. Don't you just get bored of doing the same thing over and over again, even if you increase weghts from time to time?

    SardonicGenie,
Depressing R&B music is the type that usually has a theme of catering to the broken hearted and about going through loves ups and downs. This isn't a bad thing, but I get tired of hearing about Mary J. Blige (as well as others) talking about having no more drama and Blah, Blah, Blah. No offence to the Mary J. fans out there.... 8)

I am not a guy that gets or stays broken-hearted easily because of past experiences.....so I try to abstain from hearing those types of lyrics.

Seychelles, as far as the Da Vinci's code is concerned, it is really nothing new......people have been saying these things about Jesus and the bible for years. The Da Vinci Code is just the new thing out now. As far as my working out goes, I used to do martial arts so my training is not the typical increasing of weights to gain more bulk, I mix between training with light weights to tone, heavy weights to gain size, pausing and muscle contracting, and cardio. So basically, I have to keep changing my workout regimen to stay fresh and so that my body won't get used to it. If you do the same routine, your body gets used to it and your body will stop growing, you have to shock it to grow. I also have my ipod and it is crucial, I can't train properly without it because listening to adrenaline pumping music turns off the side of your brain that registers pain.

New tips on working out. Thanks.
Though I think I need someone with a stick behind me all the time to make me go to the gym for more than 3 months.

    What I do?

I develop Web applications. I don't do much on the front end like Nilan does, but instead focus on building "intelligence" into them and make them functional and more interactive. So, I do programming and database development.

After recently finishing a multi-year contract with a major bank, I'm taking a break so that I can plan the next stage of my career. Right now, I'm deciding between many prospects. Soon I will start a new position, hopefully with a health-care company. I'm strongly considering moving to the U.S. for a year or two. If you know the best cities that tolerate interracial dating for cultured, career-minded black men, please let me know.

As for my interests, I like basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, camping, watching documentaries, listening to all types of music (except for heavy metal, most rock, country and hardcore rap) and exercising (which I started again recently).

    Genuine,

You can go ALMOST anywhere in the U.S. almost and find interracial dating and acceptance. The places most notorious for mixed couples and marriages are Washington D.C., New York, Massachusetts, Minnesota (the twin cities of St. Pail and Minneaplois), Texas, some parts of California to name a few. DO NOT GO DOWN SOUTH TO MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA IN PARTICULAR. Don't get me wrong. People date interracially everywhere in the U.S., but the south is still stuck on stupid. To give an example, Alabama JUST removed the law preventing interracial marriages in the year 2000. Even though mixed couples were marrying interracially anyway, it was still in the law book in the state of Alabama that people of different ethnic make-up couldn't marry. You are much better off up north (Minnesota), the east coast (D.C., New York, Massachussetts), and the West coast (Arizona, California, and Oregon) Gather more info. before you decide on a place though. Because some parts and cities are more accepting than others.

    Black-friendly cities

Thanks for the detailed insight! The reason why I ask is because I'm seriously considering joining my friends in California, either in San Francisco or San Diego. It sounds like someone with my IT background would gain a lot of respect there.

Yet, I heard from several people here that those places surprising don't really tolerate blacks and interracial dating. A friend of a friend I just called confirmed it. His friend said that San Francisco gave him a weird vibe and wasn't as welcoming and clean as he had hoped.

I guess that the bottom line is that wherever I go is most likely to be less tolerant than Toronto (my current home), which is one of the world's most multicultural cities.

    What about Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is good too, but still do research and get info. from the actual local Black men there, but that is a good IR area as well .

Is it just a coincidence or many BM work in IT or computer related jobs? Almost all the BM I talked to were into that. How come?

    Well Seychelles,
I can't speak for all black men of course, but I can tell you my reason for choosing this field. You see, I use my art to escape the harsh realities of the real world, I use it to make my own reality, and I use it as way to calm myself down. For me to create anything, I have to be in a calm and peaceful state of mind so that is why it is really hard to piss me off. This calling of mine is my sort of refuge (other than God) and it is very theraputic for me. I could not live without being creative in some shape or form. The thing is, I did not want to go to school for 4+ years to be a starving artist....so I took my love for the arts and computers and combined them into skills that would make me marketable (as well as getting me seriously paid 8) .

Computer and IT related fields are VERY different than a lot of other fields as far as minorities breaking in them are concerned. What do I mean you ask? Well, computer and IT related jobs are more concerned about whether you can PERFORM rather than, DO YOU LOOK CAUCASIAN ENOUGH, or DO YOU FIT A CORPORATE IMAGE, or some other BS that people use to not hire minorities.

So in other words, as long as you bring marketable skills to the table and to the computer and IT related fields, employers are much less concerned whether you are asian, black, spanish, handicapped, Jewish, etc. These jobs have a more level playing field than say your average corporate job (where they base whether you get the job based on how caucasian you look). Harsh but true.........

NOT ALL CORPORATE COMPANIES ACT LIKE THIS, BUT I WOULD BE TERRIBLY NAIVE TO BELIEVE THAT THOSE JOBS OFFER MORE OF A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.

    That's just my two cents.....

    Hey Nilan:)

So I see. Yeah it makes sense.
You're a lucky guy to be able to do something that you not only like but also find comfort in, and pays well. Any news on the new job?

    No, not yet.
I got an e-mail saying that I was still one of the top candidates, but they needed more time to make a decision because they still had more interviews. :? Sounds fishy, but I have been wrong before so I will just have to wait on them to make their final decision......NOT!!!!!!!!
THIS WON'T STOP ME  .......I'll press on and look elsewhere, while improving my skills. Then, who knows, I may get a call back saying that this particular job is mine, but I will still look elsewhere for the time being.
